Or the bike from St Etienne or bottle of Lucozade that was put in the trophy cabinet. Seriously though, there is a lot of stuff in the trophy room there.

Speaking of strange gifts like the St Etienne bike one of the gifts we've received was quite strange as well. The first time we played Peterhead we gave them an engraved quaich, they gave us a replica fishing boat.

Match The Fine For Palestine over £32k after 24 hours, absolutely brilliant.
Nearer to £50k now. Amazing effort and they have shown UEFA where to go with there ridiculous double standards.

Well over £50k now.

I wonder if the fans basically sticking 2 fingers up at UEFA will have any impact on how much Celtic are fined?

There should be no place for police involvement in football, the same as fans making political statements but I do accept Scotland is unique when it comes to that.
Scotland may be unique - but once you enter the Uefa rule book it is obviously a different matter.

The problem is that Celtic have played lip service to the green brigade in recent years and the club was warned beforehand there would be serious consequences if Palestinian flags were displayed - the fact that the club and stewards did nothing to stop this points towards a harsher punishment than just a fine from Uefa ...

I see Andrea Traverso who is the head of Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play at UEFA has described the side who currently play at Ibrox as a new club,
No, he hasn't. Its a fake doing the rounds. I expected the lower-intelligence Declans to go for it, not you.

That bottle was to ridicule the death of a Rangers fan who had tragically young. So excuse me if I didn't and don't laugh.

Please. The club doesn't belong to a bunch of guys sitting in the boardroom. The SFA in the 50's told Celtic to stop flying the Irish flag and they were told it's not happening.

I agree that UEFA needs to have rules and there has to be a code of behavior which all fans need to adhere to however this time they have got it wrong.

Over £70k raised for charity says no matter what UEFA do it was worth it.

Celtic should have their lawyers display pictures like this from Ajax champions league match. Ask why Ajax were never fined. Let's hear UEFA explain how an Israeli flag is not political but a Palestinian one is.

Should be funny hearing UEFA get themselves out of that one. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BwtTQ6TIEAAvw_u.jpg:large

So Craig Thompson will decide when live games kick off if pundits criticise his performance.

That'll go down well.

If you knew anything about the history of Ajax you'd see that banner was not inappropriate. They have been fined before for inappropriate banners that provoked Man City. The Palestine flag Celtic fans used was intended to provoke and was inappropriate and you will be punished.

Celtic, St Johnstone and Dundalk have all been fined for this before. UEFA didn't 'get it wrong' then and they aren't getting it wrong now. It is against the rules of the competition UEFA set up and if they don't like them then don't participate.

Oh I get it now. The star of David isn't seen as political but the Palestinian flag is. You know full well if Celtic was playing a no Israeli side and had Palestinian flags on display UEFA would have still fined them. Please do not pretend that Celtic are being fined because it is against an Israeli team.

It is blatant double standards. Guess UEFA won't dare go upsetting the various Jewish lobbies.

Intended to provoke? So what you are saying if Celtic play non Israeli opposition the flags are fine?

Did the Israeli team even put in a complaint about being provoked?

Ethel Cardew was a vile anti-Catholic bigot.

They don't have to.

They make it up as they go along. The fund is at £100k now.

It is imperative that Celtic don't concede an early goal tonight. Whilst we've shown we have goals in abundance we've switched off for 10 minutes in the last 2 games and conceded 4 goals. Concede early and they will be all over us.

Just don't try and sit in. Go at this team and score and the tie is over. The concern is that players could mentally still be thinking about previous year away day troubles but last week showed a stronger mental toughness.. Under Delia at 3-2 the team would of crumbled and no way rallied to score another two goals.

You are right about the sitting in, the way Rodgers sets up it really wouldn't suit us to do that. I think if we score then that kills the game but we have to play cannily and not go all out.

I think think the first 20 mins will be quite cagey from them. They know they can't concede yet have to score but will be worried about the pace Celtic have so won't take early risks.

They are in a tough position as trying to score 3 goals knowing you can't concede against a side that has already put 5 past you is a big ask.

Sinclair to score tonight I think.

If we only concede the 1 goal I'll be happy.

To be on the cusp of around £26m coming into the club and then seeing it swiped away at the last minute would be a nightmare.

I know the club say they budget for the Europa League but the extra funds would be invaluable.
