Intended to provoke? So what you are saying if Celtic play non Israeli opposition the flags are fine?
No, because St Johnstone were fined when they played a Slovakian side and Celtic were fined for playing an Icelandic side and Dundalk fined for playing a Croatian side.

Uefa rules forbid the use of “gestures, words, objects or any other means to transmit any message that is not fit for a sports event, particularly messages that are of a political, ideological, religious, offensive or provocative nature”.

If you want to provoke and make political statements you'll get fined. So tough luck really.

Oh I get it now. The star of David isn't seen as political but the Palestinian flag is. You know full well if Celtic was playing a no Israeli side and had Palestinian flags on display UEFA would have still fined them. Please do not pretend that Celtic are being fined because it is against an Israeli team.

It is blatant double standards. Guess UEFA won't dare go upsetting the various Jewish lobbies.
Ajax has had a strong Jewish connection for over 80 years. Celtic fans were using it to provoke and it was political, so a double whammy. Antisemitism needs rooted out of society and keeping it out the football grounds is a good way to do that, so these fines are welcomed by me and probably most decent folk.

Youll be wanting Rangers fans then not to show their Israel flags in Europe then next season.

Going by your reckoning, no club should wave flags.

So no Union Jack then Frankie?

There is no point trying rationalise with Franco while he is still attempting to lie with the anti-Semitic claims.

His anti-Semitic claims are almost as funny as ZZ claiming there were Nazi salutes last week.

They are going with their throw enough shit and some might stick routine but, like Hasbara, it is a complete fail.

You and other clubs have been fined for this before, it is banned by UEFA and you keep doing it and get surprised when you get a fine. If you don't like it don't play in their competitions, but don't say you know the rules but don't want them applied to you.

If you don't see UEFA's hypocrisy then there's something wrong with you.

Again I ask provoke who?

Surprised no. Just a group of fans will not bow down to UEFA's ridiculous rules.

I hope they shut your stadium down for all group matches in whatever competition you are in. A clear message against this sort of nasty behaviour has to be sent out.

The opposition fans using illicit banners. You know like Ajax were fined for when they played Man City?

Your opinion on the tri colour flag used at Celtic?

Lol of course you do. That's the default opinion for a 'Rangers fan'.

Jealousy is an evil trait.

In that case, I expect Rangers to have their stadium shut down if they play in Europe next year, after all, sectarian singjng and waving of Israel flags isn't allowed.

Anyway, Celtic will not have their stadium closes. We will get a fine. I'm sure Celtic can afford £100k if they get in Champions League.

Does anyone buy this butter wouldn't melt 'what antisemitism' routine? I mean pull the other one. A fan of yours was all over the papers like a pissing puppy saying 'being gassed' was 'too good' for Nir Bitton:

UEFA has to stamp out this sort of behaviour with a zero tolerance approach and I welcome it.

I'm sure you'll also be calling for the SPFL to shut Ibrox because of the sectarian singing that repeatedly emanates from the The Rangers supporters during league games.

BT turning their mics down doesn't work when there's opposition fans actually there, listening to it.

That was for promoting a political ideology. You do understand it can convey more than one thing at a time depending on the context of the scenario?

It's a joke. Anti semitism while the orange anti catholic hymn book is brought out whenever that side plays a game.

Zero tolerance? So it's different than if Rangers wave flags and sing sectarian songs in Europe? If your into zero tolerance then Rangers will be banned as well.

Be careful what you wish for, as UEFA will hammer Rangers in Europe for their dodgy singing.

Emirates What sectarian singing? All I can hear is a beautiful rendition of God Save the Queen at 89 minutes and cheering our goal after about 10 seconds against your lot

And there lies the hypocrisy. Some flags are ok and do not promote an political ideology while others do? UEFA determine which ones do and don't how exactly?

All national flags are inherently political.

Autocorrect. Same happens when I try and type "Rangers". Changes to "Sevco" unless I tell it otherwise.

That's the problem - you close your ears to it.

On countless occasions last week there were songs about being "up to [your] knees in Fenian blood".

You can deny it all you like and try to deflect, but it happened and continues to happen.

Your whataboutery defence is like being up in court on a charge and saying 'but, but my neighbour did something too, years ago!'. Is that going to convince UEFA? It would be quite funny if you raised £150k and UEFA gave you a £150,001 pound fine. I said UEFA wouldn't let the fundraising influence them, but I kind of hope it does.

Frankie obviously missed the previous 87 minutes of the game.

I guess you'll just have to stop getting so offended then. Either that or don't go to watch your team get massacred by Rangers, your choice.

They can fine us £150k all they like. With £20m+ in Champions League if we get there, that will be loose change.
