![]() ![]() You could tell from the interview after the game that Rodgers knows a lot of work still needs to be done. |

He's tactically naive and no wonder Liverpool sacked him. Imagine him in CL again but with a much worse team. Its going to be hilarious.
£26m to Celtic, hee haw to the Tribute Act. Here we go, 10 in a row. |

To be fair, don't the 11 other Premiership clubs get a 6-figure "solidarity payment"?

Our best ever CL group campaign came from being in pot 4 - I wouldn't worry about that too much
They aren't likely to suddenly beat all 3 of Barcelona, AC Milan and Bayern Munich e.g. in the same group right out of the blue, or go to the San Siro or Camp Nou e.g. and win. |

Being pedantic, according to the UEFA site Celtic could yet be pot 3, though it appears that requires Man City to lose 0-6 tonight.
I don't think it's beyond all possibility Celtic qualify if they get lucky with the draw. Leicester and CSKA Moscow are pot 1 and both could be beaten in Glasgow. |

Making the last 16 of the Champions League is most unlikely though. They've done well to get this far after having to get through 3 pre-qualifying rounds just to make it, and after all no team has ever made the last 16 of the champions league from the 2nd pre-qualifying stage before.

As far as I'm concerned the hard work has been done, if we give a good account of ourselves and finish 3rd then so be it - Rodgers has now avoided the curse of the 1st season of European football for new Celtic managers. |

It should allow the manager an easier job of trying to build the side he wants. |

Celtic getting slaughtered and spending money on more duds and getting fined is going to be brilliant. Hopefully some nice long trips and picking up injuries too and your players being run into the ground for league business. Pot 4 for a diddy club.
Honestly do you seriously think Rangers would get into the Champions Leagud with your squad? We've hardly signed duds this season. Sinclair,Dumbele and De Vries are good players. |

They can't be in the same group as Barcelona AND Bayern. As for Milan, I'd fancy Celtic to beat them if they met, they aren't in Europe though. |

You do realise that if Rangers ever get in Champions League, then you too will be in pot 4.

Have you actually watched any Rangers games? The only hype that has died is Liverpool's chance of a title since Bournemouth beat them with room to spare.
When did that happen? And anyway, what have Liverpool's chances in the EPL got to do with this thread other than you just trying to troll another poster? |

It wasn't even someone as good as Bournemouth, but Burnley, a newly promoted team which is even worse. Thanks for pointing that out, I don't pay much attention to relegation and mid table teams scrapping it out. I think you'll find it is misawa who is trolling this thread considering they are a supposed Liverpool fan.
Still, it appears that your knowledge on who have beaten Liverpool is about as good as your memory on when Remembrance Sunday is. |

You can't even troll correctly.
Typical Frankie, not checking his facts before he posts. Either way, he's made himself look a fool. |
