It is like something you'd read on ZZ.

SNP bad, Taigs to blame for ruining Scotland.
Oh know. Time to blame the priest, the pope and the virgin Mary again.

Stupid pointless link. C'mon you can do better then that, that's almost up to Frankie's standards.

You DO know who James McMillan is?. The man has been the public face of fighting anti-Catholicism in Scotland for the last 15 years. One of the country's most famous Catholics. Over and above being our most famous classical composer of the modern era. He is a well known and sometimes controversial Scot.

Perhaps, as intelligent football fans, I assumed you three Bhoys were familiar with the man. Some of us follow a lot more than the fitba.

I'm not even Catholic or religious, so wouldn't know who he was.

Then damn well educate yourself before you accuse others of ignorance and bigotry.

Who are you to say what I read? Alright strawman, find a post where I've called someone a bigot. I may have a pop at Frankie for his trolling, but I've never called him a bigot.

You posted the link, I didn't. This is a football thread last time I looked, not a religious thread.

You can get off your high horse about educating yourself.

I don't listen to classical music so wouldn't have heard of him.

Read what you want. BUT then don't post the crap you did if you don't know who the man is, and what his background is. As those are relevant to what the man is saying. What I posted is relevant to the recent pages of the thread. If we were discussing only football, I wouldn't have posted. You cant have it both ways.

Football thread?. It was, until all you Bhoys starting w*nking off about Celtic fans raising money for Palestine.

How was it crap? I don't know him. I couldn't care less if he's a Catholic or not. As for this thread, I'd rather talk about football. I didn't start the debate on Palestine, others did.

I don't think it is in the slightest. They are absolutely dire.

It's sad to see what teams like them have become. Any young talent they produce is snapped up straight away and sent to Germany, Spain, England. Money is ruining the game everywhere bar the 4/5 major countries In European club football.

Dutch league is probably not that much better then Scottish league.

Soon the Champions League will be only a 4-5 country league if the reforms happen.

Ajax just sold a player for £30 million. When has a Scottish team done that? The Dutch are miles ahead of us in every way.

The league technically is still well ahead however the days of Dutch sides having a major impact in Europe are long gone.

Are they? They failed to qualify for EURO 16 and when did a Dutch team last win the Champions League? Their players may be better to technically then ours, but their teams don't do much in Europe either.

James McCarthy linked with Celtic. Decent player but not sure if worth signing.

Just what you need, another midfielder

I think he would have offers in England so not sure Celtic can afford his wages

Don't think his what is needed either. Celtic need a deep playing midfielder.

His a big upgrade on the likes of McGregor and Armstrong though

What's Celtic fans' preference for the draw today?

Easiest possible, or two "glamour" teams from pots 1 and 2, and a beatable team from pot 3?

Actually, I guess there's a second question embedded in there - last-16 of the CL, or a decent run post-Christmas in the EL?

Whatever draw gives the best chance of qualification.

Would take last 16 over Europa League run all day.

I'm not so sure about that. The run to Seville was by far the best European season I've had as a Celtic supporter. Making up the numbers in the last 16 of the CL doesn't come close imo.

I'd take whatever draw results in the least embarrassment!

I'm well aware of who James McMillan is and his previous. It doesn't, however, stop that article being like something you see written by supporters of your team on their forums every day.

The two things aren't mutually exclusive.

ABB, Anyone But Barcelona. We've played them so often over the last 10 or so years.

I'd like:-

Benfica
Bayer Leverkusen
Club Brugge
Celtic

I think that is a group where, especially at home, we could get some points.

Any post Christmas European football would be great.

Would be cracking trips to Madrid and Dortmund but we can't get that group as Real Madrid and Leicester are both pot 1 teams.

Celtic get Barcelona, Man City and Monchengladbach.

Going to be tough to make the EL from that.
