The pace in the Celtic side is just way to much for the rest of the League.
Afraid so, and the annoying thing is that we ran your legs off in April with a middle 3 of Holt, Halliday and Ball.

Now our midfield is far too slow.

That's why other sides employ the likes of Keith Lasley.

Not good enough to beat players using skill so will hack them instead.

But Joey Barton is 'box office'

Cristian Gamboa confirmed on a 3 year contract.

Hopefully we might get another signing in and a good number of players out.

I'd keep Jozo but I'd be looking to move on/loan out Bailly, Efe, Janko, Armstong, Commons, Mackay-Steven, Henderson and Ciftci.

I had hoped that Henderson would comeback from Hibs and would force his way into first team reckoning but it just hasn't happened.

Tbf Rogic's form has been superb.

Simunovic is a weird one, signed, played a few times, injured now getting sold before we've seen anything of him. Could come back to haunt us if he turns out a good player.

Getting what we've paid back for him despite rarely playing is a good deal. Erik and Kolo are our 1st choice pairing so he would spend a lot of time on the bench.

Good way to 'recycle' money.

Kolo Toure is 35 though, not going to be around for very long. One thing we shouldn't be doing is selling a CB that ISN'T Efe Ambrose. Our defensive cover will be O'Connell, Boyata-Ambrose-Lite, Ambrose and Lustig who despite being a good player looks likely to 'break' again at any time.

No point recycling money if you're just going to have to spend it again to take a punt on a replacement. Rodgers obviously doesn't like what he's seen of him though.

We can't wait to see if Jozo will be fit for a long period, if the money is on offer now then we should cash in, we can always look for another defender in January.

I see it's taken the SFA three months to charge Hibs and Rangers for the appalling misconduct of its supporters. Hibs done on four counts, Rangers on two - doubt either can complain.

Good to see Brendan, playing the 'Souness card from the nineties'

By withdrawing , Kieran Tierney & Leigh Griffiths from the Scotland squad

Both been playing through injuries tbf and its Malta you're playing.

Still expecting Celtic to do a deadline day deal(s) as if Jozo is sold we would've made a net profit on transfers.

Scotland can't afford to take a win in Malta for granted, unfortunately. So it's a pity that some players have pulled out. But there you go. It's not new of course and those remaining will just have to get on with it.

Don't players have to be seen my the national team doctor before a pull out?

I'd be looking for us to bring in a midfielder and a striker.

I think a midfielder will be signed. Not sure on a striker? Is there room for a striker.

They tweeted Jozo Simunovic has failed his medical @ Torino however BBC say different:

@bbcjsutherland: Despite rumours to the contrary, hearing Jozo Simunovic has not failed his medical. Talks continue between Celtic and Torino @BBCSportScot

Which of their players were assaulted again? I don't think I've read any of their players saying they were assaulted but I've seen players wife's saying their partners weren't attacked.

A complete Level 5 story that one. Has a go at the SFA and Hibs conveniently ignoring the sectarian singing and the fact that if the The Rangers fans never invaded the pitch there would have been no fighting on the pitch.

Shame for the lad if he wanted away but hardly a shock.

Apparently he hasn't failed a medical and talks are still ongoing.

You should be Dale Pryde's lawyer with that level of legal knowledge. "If it wiznay for those big bad Rangers fans wee Dale wouldn't have been trying to smack the Rangers players". He'll be sure to get off.

Maybe he was wanting to see what was closer to Glasgow, Bearsden or Torino?

Calling up Tony Watt for The Thumb is tragic, if only Rhodes and McCormack had played for Celtic. I see Fletcher is called up again, another complete waster.
