A complete Level 5 story that one. Has a go at the SFA and Hibs conveniently ignoring the sectarian singing and the fact that if the The Rangers fans never invaded the pitch there would have been no fighting on the pitch.
Shame for the lad if he wanted away but hardly a shock.
Apparently he hasn't failed a medical and talks are still ongoing.”
Utter drivel.
Firstly, I expect better of you that to try and ignore, deflect or even justify the clear verbal and physical assaults on our players that afternoon. Its actually quite pathetic to see how even intelligent fans like yourself have tried to ignore or laugh about this. Esp as your ex-manager was appallingly assaulted not so long ago. But when its us, its OK. After all, we are all just 1690-tattooed sectarian bigots, we deserve it, don't we?. The bias and hypocrisy is actually f*cking sickening. Imagine opposition fans ran on and verbally and physically assaulted and threatened YOUR players.
So we are at fault for the problems on the pitch?.
Are you ******* kidding me?. 95% of the trouble that day was Hibs fans. I have told you personally what happened, as I was there. Whilst many Hibees were on to celebrate (which itself is another hypocritical issue), clearly a sizeable group you know the ones who immediately ran the full length, were on for nothing but a 'square go'. Sadly some idiot Gers fulfilled their wish.
But to try and suggest we are at fault for the events of that afternoon is pathetic. I/we as Rangers fans condemn 'our' morons who reacted, yet all we get is apologia that the Hibs fans were all on to celebrate. (As if invading the pitch was/is acceptable), If THEY hadn't did what they did, our fans, pissed off as they were, wouldn't have come on. Again, I wholeheartedly criticise those Gers fans who did. They stupidly rose to a bait.
Sectarian singing?. Funny how all those ears could hear ours, yet not the Hibs fans. BOTH sets sang dodgy songs that afternoon.
Oh and self-righteous Celtic fans might want to clean up their own songbooks before criticising others. Smoke bombs?. Again, BOTH sets set them off. Again, I know as I was there. Hibs fans set them off at the start of the game, and at the end. In fact watch the TV coverage, and one goes off from the Hibs end as Gray is off and running after his goal.
Listen, we are no angels. We know that. We have our bampots and thugs. So criticise us for 2008 or Barcelona, or when we deserve it. But to try and blame Rangers fans for 21st May 2016 is just pathetic.
I expect this nonsense from Declan on Radio Clyde phone ins. Not a smarter fan like you.
