Hibs aren't going to relegate Hearts, the fact Hearts have 6 points from 30 games is what is sending Hearts down.
It would be particularly painful for Hibs to be the team that seal your fate though.

Yea, but 5-1...that's what's important...isn't it.

Top 6 settled well before the split, so could the spfl be constructive and actually announce the fixtures this week.

Its been a strange season people always say there are not much between the teams outwith Celtic but there seems to be a massive gap this year between top 6 and bottom 6

They have that. They knew liquidation would mean the loss of their history so have done everything they could to make sure that didn't happen.
The original Hearts company was liquidated a long time ago. Good luck to them though.

I wonder if hibs-kid-2007 will make a cameo appearance on here should Hibs relegate Hearts next week?
If we don't then we'll sure get another chance to celebrate in the bottom 6 derby.

My mate who is a Jambo made a valid point to me last week as we were focusing on top 6 but he says we should actually be more concerned about slipping into the relegation play off.

Now we cannot finish in the top 6 and teams below us have a game in hand it's looking a real possibility. It sounds weird saying this but imagine the Championship next season. Could potentially be....

Rangers
Hearts
Hibs
Dundee
Dunfermline
Falkirk
Livingston and a whipping boys like Alloa.

Obviously lots of ins and outs to that as Dundee or Falkirk may get promoted and Dunfermline may not come up but that division looks good enough for the top flight. No disrespect to teams like ICT, Ross County and St Johnstone etc: but I know which teams id rather play against.

Hibs are poor but I don't think they will be in the play off. Even if they did,I think they would stay up.

For the avoidance of doubt, Hearts ran into financial difficulties in 1905 and the company running it was wound up and a new company was established to take over the running of the club.

SO Dundee United had to sell roughly 8000 tickets to get an extra allocation of 3000for the semi-final. As of close of business tonight we had sold 7900. Looks like we'll be selling out our allocation.

If St Mirren lose in Inverness on Saturday we couldn't even be relegated by Hibs if they win as we'd be 21 points behind with 21 available and therefore could technically still survive.

And it's a big game for Hibs. Don't you know they always blow them?

Ah I forgot, it's not about Rangers or Celtic it doesn't matter in Scottish football so isn't relevant for discussion on this thread.

Where were all these fans last night? Only 6700 at the game.

Good to see Hearts winning, would have been awful to be relegated by your rivals. Not much talk in here after Celtic won the league, must feel a bit like Rangers winning their league, a bit hollow.

Morton had their stay of execution on Saturday with Cowdenbeath only managing a draw. Looks like they could be relegated by Dumbarton on April fools day. After last season when Morton finished 2nd I was sure they would mount a campaign for the title or at least a play off place. If St Mirren come down with Hearts and Dunfermline go up with Rangers it could have been a real cracker of a division. Shame Morton will miss out on all the fun.

Not going to say much as have spent the day raging. However yes the goal we had ruled out for offside was about 4 yards onside but we deserved nothing. Players didn't give a s*it! Hearts keeper had no saves to make. Beaten and shown up once again by Hearts and this time beaten by a team of kids.

Ironic thing is I can see Hearts beating us at Easter Road condemning us to that relegation play off.

Can I just ask is it 11th v 2nd in SFL1? Or are 2-4th involved in play offs? It's not very clear.

3rd plays 4th; winner plays 2nd; winner plays 11th.

All over two legs, with the higher-placed team at home in the second leg.

Feels as hollow as when we won the SPL when Rangers finished 3rd.

Memo to Leigh Griffiths- top class international level sportsmen don't usually stand about outside drinking at 11am on a Sunday.

I would suggest that the Hibs culture is the reason they have continually underperformed for a club that is capable of drawing 20k fans. I freely admit I find his antics amusing though.

On the plus side at least he didn't attempt to nick any lucozade today.

It must be like winning the Tour de France on a motorbike for both Celtic and Rangers.
