Have some Rangers fans got bigger expectation than maybe in reality they ought to have?
Probably.

As I said before on here Bailly, Gamboa, Ambrose, Boyata, Izaguirre, Allan, Henderson, Christie, Commons, Mackay-Steven, Ciftci - that is about the equivalent of their team in Celtic terms, infact thats probably better than their team yet its mostly guys who can't get on the bench for Celtic.

Even other players like O'Connell, Simunovic, McGregor, Armstrong who probably don't make Celtic's XI would get a game for them too and Celtic also have Roberts, Forrest, Rogic, Griffiths and Dembele all guys who would be their best player yet only 3 of them can actually get a start for us.

Thats how far behind they are quality wise, that they really need to replace literally every single player in their team as they have no-one who would get a game for Celtic.

There was a poster on here who went off in a huff recently who was of the opinion that next season they could hold their own in the group stages of the Champions League.

A large number of their support are delusional. They see the success that their former club had and think that it will instantly continue with their inexperienced manager at the helm and the Glib And Shameless Liar in charge of the club.

Celtic - 23 goals in opening 6 league games, conceding 8
Rangers - 8 goals in opening 7 league games, conceding 11.

That is the current gulf between the sides no matter how it's dressed up.

Celtic have been superb under Rodgers, our movement and class up front is the best since the O'Neill days and we look like scoring 5+ per game against everyone we've played domestically.

Only worrying thing is we aren't keeping many clean sheets and in the Champions League we would probably win more points from being a solid team rather than a good attacking team since against higher class opponents like Barca and Man City we wont see enough of the ball to attack and are not solid enough at the back.

FrankieFixer was convinced Rangers could win the title. Then he was deluded.

What title though? most fans jailed in a season, most toilets battered, most statements released etc

Of course they have. If they make top 4 it's a success. Same as any Celtic fan that thinks they could get thru the CL though I doubt there is many on that front.

Somehow Rangers need to be in the same shop as Celtic which is the upper levels of the Championship.. Till then they are going to struggle to compete.

I wonder if Statement FC will be commenting on their fans chucking seats into the Aberdeen end today?

I feel a bit sorry for the Aberdeen and Morton fans who are being shafted for league cup semi final tickets because Celtic and The Rangers are in the other semi final.

Tickets up £5 a section from the semi final at Hampden last season.

You must have been a happy man on Saturday evening, the first time Rovers have beaten 'Airdrieonians' away in the league for 70 years!

You have to laugh at idiots commenting on that video trying to say it wasn't Rangers fans that threw the chair, but Aberdeen fans from behind the person that got hit.

Evening Express has new video showing the two chairs seats coming from the rangers section, and a Statement FC spokesman said, "the club is not commenting", now there's a surprise.

That must be the first time in a while that they've not been willing to comment, normally they can't wait to run their mouths off.

Scotland squad announced.

Goalkeepers: Craig Gordon (Celtic), Jack Hamilton (Hearts), David Marshall (Hull City).

Defenders: Christophe Berra (Ipswich Town), Gordon Greer (Blackburn Rovers), Grant Hanley (Newcastle United), Alan Hutton (Aston Villa), Russell Martin (Norwich City), Callum Paterson (Hearts), Andrew Robertson (Hull City), Kieran Tierney (Celtic), Lee Wallace (Rangers).

Midfielders: Ikechi Anya (Derby County), Barry Bannan (Sheffield Wednesday), Oliver Burke (RB Leipzig), Darren Fletcher (West Bromich Albion), James Forrest (Celtic), James McArthur (Crystal Palace), John McGinn (Hibs), Barrie Mckay (Rangers), Shaun Maloney (Hull City), James Morrison (West Bromich Albion), Matt Ritchie (Newcastle United), Robert Snodgrass (Hull City).

Forwards: Steven Fletcher (Sheffield Wednesday), Leigh Griffiths (Celtic), Chris Martin (Derby County), Steven Naismith (Norwich City).

There is a half decent team in there but you have to worry about the centre of defence.

No real surprises in the squad. There will always be other players who had a claim to be included but we haven't left out any world-class performers. Good luck to them.

Hibs and Rangers to face no action over cup final, Warbiola has been charged after his wee dignified shouting at the ref on Sunday.

Whilst there is no strict liability the clubs can't really be held accountable for the actions of their fans. Raising the charges and then dropping them all makes the SFA look pretty incompetent.

It'll be up to the Police and courts to hand out any punishment.

Thoughts on tonight? Heart says we could get a positive result (doesn't it always!) but the head says we could get a bit of a pumping even with them missing De Bruyne.

Celtic v Man City youths currently on BT Sport 1.

We'll get beat, but hopefully rattle them.

Be delighted if we nicked a point.

What a game, delighted with that performance - Barca winning means we get the slight advantage for 3rd place, need 4 points from next 2 games now.
