I wonder what is going to happen with Griffiths in the January window? Can't see him being happy sitting on the bench.

£40 is value for money to watch English second tier football!!

Oh my word.

Celtic season ticket holders on the 3 game pass paid £33 for the Man City game.

How much debt are Brighton And Hove Albion in again?
They would not get away with those prices in northern England for championship football . I still think it was better value than say 28 quid on somewhere like tynecastle

I've no idea how true or false this is but this site says that Brighton are over £60m in debt and the local paper says they lost £15m the other season.

They are a money pit, you could argue they are just as bad as the side that used to play at Ibrox until 2012.

It is great they've got lovely pies but without someone giving them interest free loans they'd be out of business with the business plan they have.

Celtic finally agree to pay all staff members the Living Wage.

Embarrassing it took so long for them to agree to it.

Griffiths can't get a game for Scotland because he's too small - no wonder things are they way they are.

I've defended WGS on this thread but if he has come out with this then he isn't up to being a football manager anymore.

That's as bad as Alex Rae's comments about coaching skill out of players so they can hoof it up the pitch instead when he is in with a chance of getting a job with the SFA coaching one of the underage sides.

Funny how it's reported like Celtic have just agreed to it when they've been paying it for 5 months and they only found out about it from reading the Annual Report. Celtic never even announced it.

Unsurprisingly the Lying King from Sevco announced 11 months ago that Sevco would start paying it immediately yet 11 months later they aren't and actually haven't done anything about it....

"I sent Stewart Robertson an email about 1am on Thursday and said I heard about the living wage issue, is this something that affects Rangers?

"He gave me a report and I took it to the board yesterday and the board has now approved that Rangers will in fact provide the living wage.

"It is a great thing and I think all the board members expect that it is the right way forward, we all agreed it is absolutely right and it should be what Rangers are doing and it is what we will do.

"It will be implemented immediately, the decision was made for it to come into effect straight away and we will continue to maintain that.

"I wasn't aware there was a living wage issue, it came up in a discussion and I asked what it was and its something I expect in South Africa because we have that concept but I didn't think it existed in Scotland."

Wonder why they don't question him on it

They shouldn't have had to announce it because it is something that should never have even been discussed. It should be automatic that the staff are paid a decent wage.

In the CL you get punished for the mistakes Celtic made.

Didn't create enough either.

Rodgers has to earn his money getting the team ready for Sunday afternoon.

Sadly a real bad one, makes even third place pretty unlikely

You are being very generous there DB.

After the City home draw tonight was the chance we had to get a win that could get us European football after Christmas.

No chance of that now.

We were dominated the entire game, probably the most we've ever been in the Champions League at home that I can remember. When we were on the ball they defended perfectly and never allowed us near them, when they were on the ball their play and movement was excellent. I don't think we even played bad we were just not allowed to get going and being put under a lot of pressure.

Was always going to be a difficult game, German teams don't seem to be afffected with the atmosphere as they play in good atmospheres every week, German teams too are used to very tight games every week in their domestic League so Celtic Park in the Champions League is pretty much run of the mill of what they face on a weekly basis compared to really all other teams we play in Europe who play in poor atmospheres or are used to winning easily a lot and rarely roped into tight games against aggressive end to end play.

That's a good summary of the game last night.

So the League Cup semi finals are upon us.

I think the Aberdeen of old who got beat by the likes of QoTS are in the past now and they'll beat Morton with a bit to spare tomorrow.

On Sunday there are 2 sides looking for redemption. Celtic need to get back into a winning habit after Wednesday night and The Rangers after they were demolished at Celtic Park.

Should Celtic win then more questions will need to be asked about Warburton and his inability to win the big games.

Don't want to tempt fate with our match as we've had some shockers in cup matches over the years. However we are on form, 5 wins in a row and scored 8 in our last two league matches. It's hard to see how Morton will be able to stop Hayes, McGinn and Maddison but funny things happen in cup matches.

If Aberdeen reach the final then I would rather face Rangers as that would be our best chance of winning the cup. Can't see anything other than a comfortable win for Celtic on Sunday though.

Should be Aberdeen against the Celtic in the final. But we'll see how things go.

Rangers were always likely to lose but injuries obviously haven't helped.

Good day out at Hampden, Disappointed with the result obviously but very proud of the Morton boys they showed up and fought for everything had a few chances wee Jai shouldve scored in 1st half. Aberdeen deserved to win overall no disputing that but it did take an offside goal to break us.

Good luck Aberdeen in the final

Celtic team rumoured to be the usual except Toure is injured so Simunovic will come in. Thats my only worry for today, Jozo hasn't played a lot or in many big games and is young. He is also the sort of player who likes to try risky passes or dribble out from the back, better not cost us. He hasn't really been tested in the 5/6 games he's played for us so far althuough to be fair theres a good chance he won't be tested today either.

I predicted 4-0 the last one and was half right, today i'll say 2-0. Think it will be tighter as it's a Cup game and the Hampden pitch is usually poor, always seems soft and spongey and the passing is never as slick or players seem to run slower on it.

Despite Craig Thomson's decision not to award the Erik goal - fully deserved 1-0 win for Celtic.

Celtic dominated that for large spells and on another day would've had 3-4 goals.
