A pedestrian Motherwell side pipped you to second condemning you to play and probably go out of Europe against a team you've probably never even heard of. You're hardly strolling into the Champions League group stages with £80 million banked. Just try not to do too much damage to the coefficient.
You make it sound like the Ramsdens cup.

You're starting your campaign when the world cup is still on. You could be drawn against such heavyweights as College Europa, SP Tre Penne and Atlantas Klaipeda. You're in the same bracket as teams who finished third in Malta which should tell you what sort of achievement it is to finish third in Scotland.
Interesting you mention the coefficient. It's not really something you'll ever need to bother about. |

I'm gutted that after all those years of Aberdeen being p1sh and flirting with relegation we finally become decent and didn't get the chance to play in football's holy grail.
The chance to play against the best players in Scotland, qualify for Europe and earn a decent bit of cash for a high finish all pale into insignificance when I think about the prospect of the Blue Brazil rolling up to Pittodrie in a fleet of Ford Fiesta's. I will scan the Championship's scores on a Sunday morning in the paper but only after I've read my horoscope and Dear Deirdre. That's about my interest level in it and probably many others outwith fans of Championship teams. |

I get the impression that there is a special 'bitter and twisted' baton that various Rangers posters pass from one to another. You seem to be having quite a long leg. This baton is waved in a sad, theatrical way at anything to do with the Premiership. Look to within, mate,. |

2nil hibs probably tie over.
Hibs were a great price tonight, did not understand people raving about Hamilton. Big gap between spl top and bottom sections and also spl and championship. Still think hibs might struggle again next season though |

And you're in the second tier of the league system where finishing third ranks you alongside teams that finish third in Malta. What does that say about you?

Yeah the whole world is bitter that it can't get into the Scottish Premiership to play Ross County and Partick Thistle and St Mirren. Why do you think it has no sponsors?

But The Rangers are "the only show in town" - surely the SPFL should be fighting off the broadcasters willing to pay them?
did you even bother to read the article - the tv deal would be null and void without the payment to show rangers games in the lower leagues, so they are paying the 250k to make millions, no rangers means a vastly reduced tv deal which is why the spl paid 800k to the sfl last year for the rights to rangers games - it was a condition to maintain the tv deal at the same levels we were at before, with rangers in the top league the deal would probably have been increased - this, the fact there is no sponsor without rangers in the top league and the viewing figures which were far higher for rangers in the third tier this year than any top league game prove that we are the only show in town, you lot have lost a fair bit of cash without rangers in the top league but it seems to be something that most of you cant bring yourself to admit |

Have you got records from this season that prove this? The records The Football Life produced from 2012-13 show something different https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=sharing#gid=0 Quote:

Still think hibs might struggle again next season though For the 11th place top flight team each season once again 3 years from now onwards to automatically escape relegation and not face a post season play off would be complete nonsense. It was ridiculous nonsense before. I think the raving about Hamilton was much do with the form of Hibs. Let's be honest nobody could expected Hibs to have won that 1st leg as easily as they did with Hamilton barely having more than the odd shot at goal here and there. But if Hamilton score 1st at the weekend it would be game on. I highly doubt if Hamilton get promoted it would be one way traffic towards their goal for most of the 90 minutes most weeks. |

Mark is a Dundee FC fan, how much money have they lost since Rangers died and were restarted?
As it happens, the merger of the SPL and SFL, which was catalysed by Rangers going bust, has increased Dundee's prize money for winning the second tier by a whopping 468%. |

You've got to love the mindset of Sevconians - anyone who says something against (The) Rangers is immediately a Celtic fan.

Agreed looking like the super duper championship won't have hibs in it
Add in Dunfermline failing to join Utopia at the expense of Cowdenbeath, and the line up for Utopia looks less enticing by the week. But I'm sure Rangers and Hearts will be very happy. At least Hearts fans live in reality, and realise they are where they are because of totally internal matters rather than rant on about everyone else in Scottish football. |

Oh well, was bound to happen sooner or later - hope the new man isn't Owen Coyle.
Pity Henrik got a new job this season. |
