It would have to happen next season.

They couldn't just turn round and not relegate Hibs and Hearts. They could but I doubt it with media and fan pressure.

No relegation from the SPL next season and top 4 go up would make sense.
NO IT WOULD NOT, just because of who's down there now for various self inflicted reasons.

It will, yes, take a couple of years of so to look more normal.

Meantime, one up, down, between the Premiership and Championship, with play-offs.

Yes, you got it, just like this season !

So half the teams then - which makes it an even balance

I've mixed feelings. A day out at Easter Road has more of a top flight feel than a day out at New Douglas Park. But if Hibs had stayed up, then they'd have inevitably rebuilt during the summer, reducing the number of teams we could realistically aim to finish above.
But st Johnstone are not really east coast, inverness and Ross county are not either

Perth is on the boundary, but it's a short enough journey for me to let them into the club.

Inverness and Ross County maybe not, but at least it's a change of scenery. The A9 west of Broxden will get a bit tedious next season.

Yes, it's really more a west / north split.

Must be first time that there have been six teams from north of the Tay ( if you count St Johnstone, the. River Tay running through Perth I believe )

But it was the same last season.

The A80 (the M80 now) will still be the busiest road with top flight club supporters travelling to and from matches.

Good to see Hibs going down, they must feel a bit stupid now after taunting Hearts all season.

Did laugh at the suggestion in the Scotsman the SPFL tv deal is worth £15 million a year. According to the Wrestling Observer, Sky's new deal with WWE is worth an average of $30 million a year over 5 years. $30 million is £17.91M currently.

SPFL, officially less important to Sky than the rasslin.

They pay more for the rugby league than they pay the SPFL as well.

The Championship will be the best league to watch next year in Scotland by a mile. The TV companies know it. The Premiership is just a boring procession and now with no Edinburgh derby it has lost its biggest game. The season after next should see Rangers and Hearts back up with some decent competition at the top and you never know maybe a sponsor or two.

In a survey done by FIFPro in Scotland almost a third of players taking part admitted to betting on football matches and 34% say they wouldn't report an attempt to match fix to the authorities.

And that's with the very complicated 'no betting on any football match' rule in place.

Scotland being outplayed at times by a lumbering Nigeria - but not according to the BBC Scotland pundits ...

Slightly suspect Nigeria keeper throwing the ball in his own net - will be interesting to see what he does in the 2nd half because his coupon is down as it stands.

Gotta get that clown Morrison off - how in the name of hell he gets a game in the EPL is beyond me.

Scotland are doing OK and the best Nigerian on the pitch so far is wearing a Scotland top!

Still thought 2/1 to win this game for us was a decent price, coupon beaten by Denmark though

Slightly dodgy comments from Gallagher there.

The Coldplay man nearly scores on his debut

With all the talk of the match being fixed, this has been posted on Facebook.

Nigeria's own goal, it looks like their keeper threw it in his own net.

I didn't actually see the game. Just thought that clip looked a bit dodgy.
