Oh well that's why we need something better in central defence.

We need to find better players there or it will cost us in the games that do matter

Those centre backs won't get you anywhere in the qualifiers they aren't good enough.

I am more optimistic than usual about Scotland.

However every strachan game has effectively been a friendly.

We need to do it when it matters, which we haven't done for a long long time

Strange decision to take Andrew Robertson off - I thought he was our man of the match. OK giving some of the less experienced players some game time but given Robertson has only had a couple of caps himself it didn't look the right choice from Strachan.

I think he will be on the move in the Summer ...

2-2 was a fair result and we still lack that bit of composure in the final third.

Yes he may not start Robertson in important games because he does not play for Celtic or in the championship.

So yes he might move on

Can't for the life of me see why you would take him off when he looked fresh and was having such a good game - particularly when you consider Anya in front of him was treading water for most of the 2nd half.

His replacement Craig Forsyth once again showed that he is a bit of a liability simply because he stands off players and either let's them cross or have a run at him on the edge of the box - he pretty much did the same thing and it cost Derby big time at the weekend.

I don't mind us bringing in quality players from the English league but when average players from the Championship are getting picked simply because they ply their trade there it is a dangerous route to go down.

Yes and it's still that philosophy that makes qualifying probably a tall order

Despite a few players being discovers i still fear the likes of Hutton, brown, Caldwell, Berra, both Fletcher's will be back for the qualifiers that matter

Anya was man of the match by a mile. Nigeria were woeful i could see Argentina taking about 6 off them in the World Cup. There isn't any better players than Hutton, Brown or the two Fletchers. I'd make a case for Bardsley at centre back or Mulgrew in there as Greer and Hanley look pretty shit.

Seems Martin O'Neill has given Dermot Desmond permission to speak to Roy Keane about the Celtic job.

Edit: some reporting he'll decide in the next 24 hours as to whether he'll take the job.

I think Keane is insane if he goes there. He's only starting to learn the ropes of management under O'Neill with the Republic and this move would be way too soon. The potential for it to go horribly wrong would be big and if it did, I think it would finish his career in football management for good.

If he comes I reckon we'll be looking for a another manager by the new year.

Keane will want funds for a player, the board will say no and that will be him off.

Ridiculous would this just be an appointment that Desmond thinks will appease the fans.

His managerial record is terrible.

I assume he would keep the roi assistant, itv jobs as well

At a salary of 3.5 million euros a year? Celtic don't even pay that for a striker. Can't see Roy Keane being any good you don't get sacked at Ipswich for being any good.

He could work 9-5 Monday to Friday in an office and turn up on Saturday and still win that league. Should be some funny interviews for Youtube when he blows his top though. If he comes that is.

It makes no sense. It seems Desmond may just be going for a "name" to put bums on seats rather than it being a credible managerial appointment.

I'd say a lot of Irish fans will be annoyed over this as well. He's only a few months into the assistant manger role and the team haven't even played a competitive match yet.

I'd question the wisdom of it financially too. The Republic are already paying him 800,000 Euros a year.

In what way would it appease the fans? Most Celtic fans don't want him as manager given his previous record.

It certainly seems a bizarre choice given his managerial record. I wonder if Desmond has thought this through properly.

While Sky Sports News is all over Roy Keane like a rash, seems Dan Petrescu is also in the frame according to his assistant who apparently has said this.

It's possible that Keane could be a red herring and not the hot favourite to get the job that people think, even though he has spoken to Celtic. It would be a rather strange left field appointment.

With Neil Lennon walking away and Roy Keane 1/12 at the bookies for the job it looks almost a done deal. Didn't he let Jordan Rhodes go at Ipswich and then he went on to score about 100+ goals whilst Keane got the sack? The next old firm match should be pretty good anyway but with Keane fielding the questions the press conferences may be as feisty as the stands and the match.

Ipswich owner Marcus Evans had better beware: Roy Keane is something of a shopaholic when it comes to spending money on players. During his stint at Sunderland, Keane signed 39 players for around £80 million – many of whom failed disastrously.
