The miss by Derk Boerrigter today was one of the worst I've even seen.

Up there with the Van Vossen miss.

Even I could have scored that chance....

Thankfully it was just a pre season friendly and not in an important match.

David Goodwillie signing in the morning.

On the fence with this one, could turn out to be a disaster or it could be a great signing.

Should be plenty of goals in our front line this season hopefully.

It is definitely a bit of a gamble, he wasn't exactly great when he was on loan at Dundee United last season.

I see The Rangers have admitted they have filed "incorrect acounts".

Every united fan I know reckons he's a complete stick on to score against United first game of the season.

Fingers crossed

United - Aberdeen games are my favourite at the moment, I'm looking forward to it already.

I am going to translate that as HMRC loses the big tax case ... again.

seems like the only true tainted spl titles are the ones obtained from 2012

Aberdeen game is on Premier Sports, good to see proper fitba back on the telly.

Rooney's scored a hat trick in the first half to go with his double in the second half last week. Goodwillie better hope we are gonna play two up front or he'll be seeing a lot of the bench.

Also played in the new away strip, looked ok. Game was a bit boring, more of a easy training session.

I was counting the trains going past in the background during the 2nd half.

The away top is very good, best for a while.

Hilarious.

So it was just the £14,372,042 that was illegally withheld from HMRC that caused the death of Rangers then?

Both the red and the black shirts you have this season are smart.

A lot of Sevco fans who blame Craig Whyte for the death of their Old Club forget that without Craig Whyte getting the £22million off Ticketus and not paying any Tax or PAYE, the Old Club wouldnt even have made it past October or November that season, they only made it till February before they knew they probably wouldn't see out the season and had to go into Administration to get players to take pay-cuts because of the Ticketus deal and non paying of tax and paye. Had they paid tax and PAYE they'd have been most likely liquidated before the halfway mark of the season as they'd have ran out of funds and been unable to operate into January, even when they sold Jelavic in January they still ended up in Admin weeks later.

Murray punted for £1 as he knew they wouldn't see out that season either.

The only way Rangers would have made it through the 2011-12 season is if they sold almost all their squad in a fire sale that summer and January but rather than start living within their means. Murray jumped ship and the new guy had to con money out people and avoid paying tax.

Couldn't get loans off anyone as in the previous 15 years that club had made over £100million in losses, a lot made up by Lewis, King and Murray who paid in £80million+ between them to clear other debt but still in the final months the club were still in £20million+ of debt and still didn't have enough money to pay tax and paye.

And despite having all that debt and making all those losses, the reason they died was because they used EBT's to save around £35million in tax which came back to bite them in the end when they couldn't get loans to save themselves and had no-one willing to help them for fear of being hit by a £50million+ tax bill and penalty.

The Old Club were a shambles, they spent two decades spending money they never had and would never have survived unless they downsized but didnt want to downsize to their natural level as it would have been embarrassing to show they couldnt compete with Celtic.

Sevco fans now can only dream of competing with Celtic. Bell, Foster, McCulloch, Zaliukas, Wallace, Law, Black, Templeton, Boyd, Daly and Miller - that team wouldnt even beat the Hibs or Hearts teams of the mid 2000s yet it's the best team in the Club's history, albeit very short history.

Scotland v England confirmed for November 18 at Celtic Park.

Also confirmed is that the Scotland v Ireland match will also be at Celtic Park.

I'm going to guess that fans of a certain tribute act will be up in arms that a game against England isn't at Ibrox when a game against ROI is at Celtic Park.

I think the SFA should forget Hampden and use Celtic Park for the big Scotland matches with the smaller ones going round the country.

Hampden should never of been built. Waste of money and worse was why build a stadium that looks like that? Could you get anything more generic.

It would have been better had it not been for Rangers.

While everyone else in the country was behind Hampden being redeveloped, Rangers objected and claimed that Scotland internationals and cup finals could be played at Ibrox. And they were listened to. It wasn't until 1992 that public money was secured to make it all-seater.

The main stand is the only decent part of the ground - you can tell it was added last when a lot more money was made available from the National Lottery.
