4 games and no defeats in Europe this week for Scottish sides. It'll be tough in the return legs for the teams apart from Celtic but hopefully they can all get through.

Three draws but probably only st Johnstone can be happy if one gets through we are doing well, fear they still might all go out.

Motherwells result a real bad one

I know we have this summer pre season scots in Europe for some time now, but growing up in the generation where scottish teams started in Europe in September it's pretty depressing when you know it's not ever coming back
It's either going to need Celtic to make the final of the CL or Celtic making the last 16 while another club gets out the GS of the EL before that coefficient rises quickly enough.

Given the humping The Rangers took from a bunch of American amateurs the other night Hurlford would pump you.
Ah but we might make a game of it against Hurlford Thistle.

Of course the big difference is our manager isn't coming out with shite like "we are one of the big bhoys of European football" ... a championship team from England would have taken 5 or 6 off that mob never mind a top 4 EPL side.

They took 20 off my mates side in the Scottish Cup a few seasons back.

In terms of attendances and history we are one of the big clubs of European football. It is only on the financial side that we are left so far behind due to the horrific TV deals we have with BT and Sky.

If we'd taken 6 off that side on Tuesday it wouldn't have flattered us.

Should still be legia despite the 1-1 tricky tie.

If it is legia the "away" support at murrayfield would be considerable

Pity it isn't the other way round the tie as I am on a flight to poland on Wednesday 6th august

St. Pats are actually pretty decent and probably should have won in Warsaw on Wednesday. I watched the game on TV and they played some great counter attacking football. They had the best of the chances and could easily have been 2-0 up at halftime. It certainly won't be a 3-0 or 4-0 stroll in the park for Celtic if it's them they face.

Legia were awful against St.Pats and were slaughtered in the Polish press afterwards. Interestingly there's a lot of doom and gloom in Poland about their chances of getting through the return leg.

A fan of the tribute act with all their ongoing problems with the support and fans groups trying to pontificate to a supporter of another team that their board have them over a barrel.

You couldn't make it up.
Why do you pretend you aren't cheering on Leigh Griffiths? If he scores to win a champions league game in the last minute to put you through to the last 16 you'll let go of the refugees welcome banner and be jumping and cheering and kissing the badge. You've only got the principles the plc let you have, which isn't many.

Yet another terrible attempt at being a WUM.

Come back Sir Jeremy III, all is forgiven.

After Celtic win 4-0 at Murrayfield with 2 goals each from VvD and Pukki, the talk on Radio Scotland is that Celtic rely too much on Kris Commons to provide the goals.

I was listening to the discussion on my way home from Dens and in many ways it summed up exactly why the west coast media is disliked so much.

By the general tone you'd have thought Celtic were struggling in the lower-reaches of the Championship. The problem? A lack of "excitement". Christ, give me a lack of excitement and the Premiership title with Dundee every season please.

We were good going forward but the defence needs to deal with long balls over the top of our centre halves better.

A great crowd and atmosphere tonight. Just a pity that Edinburgh wasn't able to cope with the extra traffic.

If we can't beat teams like these then we don't deserve to play in the CL the way it is currently set up.

I'm not so sure. I watched the match tonight and St Pats were hugely disappointing in the second half, rather than Legia turning in a stylish and impressive performance. The score was still 1-0 heading into the 69th minute and Legia had scarcely created anything in the game up until then.

Yes you were optimistic for st pats last week, think the game was only on premier sports in the uk .

I suppose the "away" support for Legia at murrayfield might be considerable

I know you are backing up an Irish club here but St Pats were poor the entire game and not just in the 2nd half. Legia did what they had to do and went about it in a workmanlike fashion. They looked like they had the ability to go up a couple of gears if needed.

I don't think the police will be happy to let fans sit and have a drink in the park behind Murrayfield like they did last night when the Legia support come over.

The two games were a huge contrast. St Pats could easily have won in Warsaw (and this was borne out by the stats, they had the best of the goalscoring opportunites) but Legia were in control of this one tonight from the start.....they definitely improved on their poor performance last week anyway.

I wasn't overly impressed with Legia for the first hour tonight. Sure, they controlled the game but didn't create really create a whole load, and then the second goal completely knocked the stuffing out of St. Pats. You'd have to fancy Celtic to get through over two legs against them.....I don't think Legia are a top notch European side and I think they would struggle in the CL group stages.

As you said, they controlled the game. They did all that they needed to do.
