So the team that finished 2nd in Scotland last season loses to the team that finished 3rd in Iceland.

Just as well Aberdeen and the Saints are through.

Hull have their bid for Andrew Robertson from Dundee Utd accepted, for a fee of £2million plus add ons

http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/28442322

It's been a great couple of years for this lad but I think it's a bit too soon for this move. Can you see Bruce flinging him into the first team straight away? Probably squad/league cup player

Was expecting this today although I am always intrigued what these add ons are.

Think he can play for them in Europe next week.

I suppose under Scotland team selection rules, he will be a certain starter as he is now on the books on an english premier side

As meatloaf once sang "Two out of three ain't bad"

Aberdeen with a fantastic result. Ironically I'd say Motherwell had the easier game over 2 legs on paper although Stjarnan are unbeaten well into their domestic campaign. They will be gutted 3 pens conceded over the piece.

St Johnstone, they seem to produce in Europe. Great for Scottish football. Sadly for Aberdeen a glamour tie but I'd say elimination. Hopefully it'll be televised. St Johnstone playing some unheard of side. Always not sure what to expect.

Miss European footy 😢

Just home from the pub, first beers for a while but making up for it in style.

Amazing result for Aberdeen, I was quite confident beforehand as we are good on the break away from home but Groningen are a different kettle of fish from all but one club in Scotland.

Groningen were unbeaten in something like 13 matches so for a Scottish team to go there and win is fantastic.

I'm delighted for Saints as well, very disappointed about the Motherwell result.

Fantastic results for Aberdeen and Aberdeen and a great week for Scottish football with 3 out of 4 teams going through.

A very poor result for Motherwell though.

The manager of the year is over a season not a two legged tie in the middle of July.

See you later Tony Watt.

That's 4 managers now who haven't been enamoured by his behaviour so hopefully he will catch himself on and wisen up otherwise he could ruin his career.

Attacker, Solksjaer took him to Cardiff from Molde, played under Deila on loan while he was with Udinese.

Aberdeen v St Mirren postponed on August 16th due to a request from Aberdeen due to their "heavy" fixture schedule.

No wonder scottish football is a laughing stock

Bit of a pounding for Celtic really can't see them turning it around

Good start but the passing was woeful and the defence very poor after Legias first goal. On the bright side, we could have been dead and buried if they had taken their chances.
If it wasn't for the serious drop in cash, I would say a season in the Europa League would be a good thing.

While Europa League in Big Ronny's first season wouldn't be a bad thing for a new team, this isn't a new team atm and there can be no excuse for that performance.

Need a Karagandy comeback with that away goal.

It's more or less the same position they were in last season against Shakhter Karagandy - 3 goals takes them through.

I had to laugh at the pundits on the radio saying that having the game at Murrayfield will effectively remove the usual Celtic Park European atmosphere. For the group stages, perhaps, but for the qualifying rounds? A crowd of 38,000 in the same round last season would suggest said atmosphere doesn't actually exist at this stage.

If the lose this round they will not qualify for the Europa Leaugue.

I definitely underestimated Legia. I though St. Pats must have turned in an atrocious second half performance last week to lose 5-1 to them but they're clearly improving with every single match and are a very good side.

It's looking ominous for Celtic. I can't really see them beating this outfit by 3-0 or more next week.

Just shows that Roy Keane may well have been wise to turn Celtic down. He may have worked out for himself that the job might be more of a poisoned chalice than a fantastic opportunity, especially with the prospect of failing to progress in the tricky Champion's League.

We could do, if we lose we are in a play-off for the Europa.
