I think they'd struggle even in the Europa League. Legia are a modest enough European side, nothing spectacular but they thoroughly outclassed Celtic.

They won't need to.

If they want to do well in the CL then they need to sign decent players at £4m etc but anyone of that value will also interest Hull, Norwich etc and players will be more likely to go there imo. I can sort of see why they sign plenty of £1-2m players hoping a few come good.

In the past they have had the lure of the CL to attract players. It's gonna be tough to use that as an incentive next season and beyond.

Anyway, in terms of football Celtic took a hiding. Absolutely terrible tonight. I left after the 2nd Legia goal. The only thing Celtic won tonight was the boxing inside Murrayfield.

I never saw it happen but we have arseholes in our support just as every club does. If anyone was xenophobic towards Poles I hope they got what they would deserve for that kind of behaviour.
