I could see it being a close run thing with all 3 or Rangers/Hearts/Hibs in the top 3 spots possibly followed by Falkirk.
I went and watched the Rangers vs Hibs game as timboy was loving it so much and Hibs looked the better team so could pose a challenge for first place. The part time teams like Dumbarton, Cowdenbeath and Alloa will find this season tough going as the season progresses but anything can happen in this league.”
But I don't see Hibs, Hearts and Rangers picking up all 84 points on offer versus all the other 7, with the points they take off each other in addition.
Hibs and Hearts often lost and drew of games against St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Ross County 2 or 3 times in the campaign in the top league who are similar in nature to the likes of Rsith Rovers, Livingston and Falkirk it's far from a formality they will pick up the 3 points every time they meet such teams. With Hibs and Hearts both losing at home to St Mirren last season there is every possiliy both could slip to a defeat or draw or 2 away at Raith Rovers or Falkirk.
To think Hibs and Hearts will easily defeat Cowdenbeath and Dumbarton 3-0 5-0 or 6-1 e.g. away from home on a paddy field of a pitch on a wet and windy night in December and January is a bit of a nonsense. Dumbarton could very well draw with Hearts and Alloa could beat Hibs on such nights if they are not cast well adrift at the foot of the table.
Yes Rangers, Hearts and Hibs will probably finish the top 3 as expected. But there will be a few surprises and shocks involving the big 3 who are in the championship this season.
Hibs 2 Raith Rovers 1 is a bit too close for comfort against one of the 7 teams the are considered so far superior to in the league. Not exactly brushing aside such teams easily as some assumed.
