A 'mummy of *childs name*' on mine's son has recently started nursery school.
She posted a cup of tea yesterday (well a picture of one) with 'ah some time to myself'. This girl has put up literally thousands of pictures of her son over the past 2 years and pretty much every status is to do with him

What lately annoys me is far-right groups hijacking an image/page for their own purposes (eg putting the 'We will remember them' poppy image up and hoping people will share it, not noticing who they are).
That vile Britain First site is the worst for this. Anyone who posts any of their filth automatically gets unfriended. There's been two this week already, from seemingly "normal" people who I'd always thought were quite bright

Can you explain what "Britain First" is please? - I don't use Face Book.

One of my friends has shared a picture of an Oxo cube, with the following caption:

"I dare everyone who loved Linda Bellingham to hang an oxo cube on their Christmas tree as a bauble to make sure her wish to make it to Christmas was not in vain...."

Now I'm sorry that Lynda Bellingham has died, but really?!
It's the passive-aggressive use of the word "dare" that irks me most with these posts as they're desperately trying to guilt trip you into going along with their crap.

A far right party made up by former members of the BNP.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Britain_First
They even did something recently where they made a page looking as if you were leaving tributes to Linda Bellingham, but in fact links you to their site apparently (saw that in paper)

"I dare everyone who loved Robin Williams to put on a set of fake breasts on Christmas day then set fire to them." I haven't actually seen that one yet, but am pondering starting it.

But I do have: "Well I bit the bullet asked the big question this morning and think my world is going to fall to pieces tonight ". No further information at all, just three 'likes'. She has since posted a long and rambling post about going shopping, and seems to have forgotten what the big question was or whether her world fell to pieces.

Two from my news feed this morning:
Someone has checked themselves into A&E as they have a splinter in their foot
Someone else has posted that we should close the UK borders to stop the spread of ebola
I find the ones who check themselves in to A&E are just looking for attention.

A similar post happened on my timeline where someone checked themselves in to A&E saying they were at flipping "enter local hospital name" again, cue the comments "what's up hun?" and she's only there for something minor.

Also, the people who go on two or three holidays a year and feel the need to keep posting how many sleeps until their next holiday.

Anyone who posts a status declaring "I'm loving life right now" or similar. JUST BORE OFF you smug gits. We don't care

I agree with the previous poster about hospital check ins. I have a few who do it on mine and it is just attention seeking.

Love reading this thread. I have deactivated my fb today. Not sure how long I'll last til I cave but get sick of all the general pics shared "like this if..." type things. This thread will hopefully remind me of it all!

This was on a local sale site yesterday.

Time to name n shame. I bought a car off this site for £350 3 weeks ago, today I was told the car needs new brakes and discs, which will cost hundreds to pass it's mot. This car is death trap. I have been driving my kids around in this car ffs. The seller won't even have the decency to give me a refund.

So she buys a car for about a hundred pounds above scrap value, and expects it to fly through it's mot with no problems. I also like the way they use the fact that children have been in the car for added emotinal blackmail.

You actually seem to get this quite a lot on the bargain cars for under 500 page. People get shitty when it turns out the car isn't some full dealer service history car with a 5 year warranty, and start demanding their money back.

| deactivated my account eons ago, but still get email updates via my old email account about how many messages or whatever all the time. But for me, it was during the Scottish Referendum and my family were totally at war. And I mean war with half of the family de-friending the other half.

This all allayed to me by both sides of the family

Must admit my female friend makes me smile sometimes.

As she's lost a couple of contracts lately, she's belt tightened so instead of a foreign holiday, she & the current feller(she's managed nearly a year with him!) are having a week in Liverpool instead!

She already has a dog which has been dressed in bits of pink, now she's accuired another dog, a Chiuwawah, which is smaller than the other one.

My comment was 'Hope you dont sit on it!'

Women do puzzle me sometimes. Glad I aint romantically involved with one!

"Time for a FB clearout."

Cue comments of "Aww hope you keep me" and "Not me I hope" and similar begging statuses. I am sure people only do these statuses to see how popular they are and how desperate people are for their 'friendship'. I for one will not be begging and expected to be 'cleared out' shortly.

Sorry if it's already been mentioned, but the thing that is boiling my piss at the moment is the friends who keep putting different profile pics up. I'm sure they just do it for attention, to get everyone saying "you look great hun!" and other such crap. They're also the same ones who put up the random posts like "well that was a great start to the day", but no explanation, so everyone is asking "you okay hun" etc. I've taken to ignoring them!

Oh Jesus, I had one of those yesterday: "I will be trimming my facebook friends today so if you don't make it, goodbye!" Sod off you passive aggressive twit. I defriended her, I can't be doing with drama llamas.

It's funny that creating a FB account and uploading photos suddenly makes every average-looking female 'beautiful', 'gorgeous' or 'stunning'. Show me a profile photo where someone hasn't written that!

I have a friend who posts numerous selfies, all taken from a flattering angle and gets the usual compliments - sexy, gorgeous, wow etc etc
But I know her in real life and face to face, she is very pretty. She's a bit chubby though, and her facebook photos don't reflect that.
