That's a phrase I have seen before when folk have shared these hoax posts.

The police have said they'll never release the identity of those in the van and I guess people have just run with that and assumed theres some sort of cover up going on. But I imagine if there were a sinister motive behind what happened the police would not be holding back on naming and charging those involved.. so the FB theory just has no logic at all.

Disgusting really. I don't usually pay attention to the guys statuses usually just a quick glance and scroll on but this today just caught my attention and I thought 'time to delete'.

A friend recently announced her engagement on Facebook with a picture of her newborn baby's foot with her engagement ring on its toe! Maybe I'm a miserable cynical cow but it made me want to throw up!!!!

I've seen quite a few of these. The thing with this is that quite a few people who I know to be sensible and intelligent people have posted it. I really don't understand why people just automatically believe such things. As soon as I see anything like that 99% of the time it's obvious it's a load of crap and if there's any doubt I'd certainly Google it before mindlessly sharing.

There's one friend on my FB who I routinely correct her silly scaremongering posts because she's seemingly unable to be able to type "Snopes.com" or "Hoaxslayer.com" to find out whether the posts she's making are actually true or not.

A recent one she posted was a plea from a mother for her son to return home who'd seemingly run away. A quick look at the mum's FB page showed that her son had returned a week previously and the post asking him to return was a week and a day old.

I've had similar nonsense on mine.
One imbecile even went as far as to say he was there and "definitely saw an Asian behind the wheel".

RE: The channel 13 hoax

I posted a reply on two statuses saying that technically Channel 4 +1 is on Channel 13 on freeview. So far I've had no likes or replies on both shares.

Accompanied by the most horrific picture! Shes done four nails and by the looks of it the little finger and the pointing finger both have the same size fake nail! Not only that but theres only about 4mm of pink nail, and the rest is white! (These ones are supposed to be french manicure style apparently). You can see a big lump where they have been put on and they look damn awful.

As if that wasnt bad enough you can see in the background an awful dirty carpet with bits of toys and rubbish strewn everywhere.

She seriously thinks that will tempt people to go round to pay her to do their nails?

I've saw some dodgy nails advertised but not as bad as you've described . Reminds me of the girl copying people who sell glitter glasses and bottles of wine etc except she was doing it with cheap bottles of cider, Lambrini and tobacco tins!! This year she tried to copy the trend of doing the Santa plates and failed miserably. Looked like they'd been done by a 5 year old! Fair enough they're doing something trying to earn a bit of money but come on try and at least make your product look appealing.

They mean 'tacitly' right? Goes to show the level of genius behind the post when they are churning out references to laws and statutes but make a schoolboy error like this.

Something similar happens to me with people on my feed posting that spoof notice that FB will start charging for their service in 2015 - getting all scared and thinking its real. It's not.
