No but random words like that often turn out to be one of these "games" where whoever replies saying "what are you on about" will then get a message from the Banana person along the lines of "Ha ha you fell for it, now you have to play along and post your favourite fruit. Then send a message to whoever replies asking what your talking about!"

Gosh what brilliant fun

I fxcking hate those. I love my friends to death, but when I get a message like that, it doesn't even get a reply.

A friend has posted a picture of their mum with the caption, "Loving mum's new hair extensions!". Except mum looks like she's wearing a really bad joke wig. My friend's friends are commenting saying how good it looks. I genuinely don't know if they're having a laugh, because the "hair extensions" don't match the mum's natural hair style, in fact you see her actual hair underneath and it looks really bad. I actually don't know if they're being silly or not.

Fed up with pictures from vile far right groups, being posted by people on my feed who dont know what theyre really doing - the latest one about Tesco not allowing a soldier in uniform in the store and having a go at muslims in the process.

Oh that old chestnut has been doing the rounds for years. It's also been debunked on numerous occasions - it just never happened. But it still pops up often.

Interpreted as follows.

"Listen up everyone, Isn't it marvelous that I've got the spare cash to impulse buy these things? Oh, and haven't I got great taste in chairs? Well I've got great taste in everything really. I'll post a pic of the chairs soon, don't worry. Only kidding about the 'cavier' and champers by the way not that I've ever had 'cavier' or really know where it comes from, but if I wanted some I could have it, no trouble. Catch you all later, I'll be back soon to update you on my next splurge!"

I see some of you talking about a number and proud.

It's the number of tattoos you have.

It allegedly raises breast cancer awareness.

My mum and sister sent it to me. They were speedily reminded of a blog post I wrote about it last year. Breast cancer is not an attention seeking status update.

This was all over Facebook last year. I wonder how many people who actually posted this ended up doing 5 random acts of kindness.

I'm participating in a 'pay it forward' initiative. The first five people to comment on this status with "I'm in" will receive a surprise from me at some point in this calendar year! Anything from a book, a gift card, a visit, something homegrown or made, a post card, absolutely any surprise. There will be no warning and I will try to find something that I believe would suit you and make you happy! These five people MUST make the same offer on their FB status and distribute their own joy. After commenting below "I'm in", simply share this text on your profile. We can do more nice things for each other in 2014 without any reason, just to make each other smile and show that we think of each other

How can it raise awareness when most people haven't a clue what the hell it's about

I see quite a few people lately posting that they are thinking of becoming a stripper or a prostitute.
