Regarding the 'post your first profile photo' fad, one of my friends' efforts annoyed me.

She uploaded her photo and then after all the usual 'stunning xxx', 'u luk so beautiful xxxx' etc comments, she came back with several modest and self-deprecating responses like 'Wow, I was not expecting all these nice comments!'...um, yes you were, that's exactly why your posted that photo!

I changed mine as I was nominated twice. Did anyone notice or comment? No! I changed mine back 5 minutes later.

Argh im in that annoying situation of being anonymously slagged off in someones status! Never been in this situation before!

My cousin deleted all our family, but missed one!, and then put a status up about that boys mum who sent a 5 year old an invoice to a party he didnt attend. She says she wishes she had thought of that and sent invoices to her family members who were no shows at her wedding!

Someone replied saying they wouldve gone if they were invited and she replied that she wishes shed have scrapped her families invites and given them to friends instead!

Im pissed off about it because myself, my mum and my dad are the ones shes yapping on about. We all told her when the date was announced that we could not go. My mum was quite upset that work wouldnt give her time off as she wanted to go to see the wedding and see my sister as bridesmaid. When my cousin was told, about a year before the wedding she was ok and understanding and said that there were a few that couldnt make it due to the time and the day and she didnt mind,

Exactly. The water bucket thing may have got old fast but at least it raised awareness for a lesser known illness. There are plenty of types of cancer a lot of people haven't heard of. My Nanny died of oesophagus cancer, something I'd never heard of til she was diagnosed. I'm not saying we should stop talking about breast cancer completely but lets start talking about other types too.

I've had this the past week or so but it's started to die down now. I never get nominated for any of these things I don't know whether to be offended or not! Not that I'd join in anyway coz I'm miserable that way plus I don't have 7 interesting facts. Although neither have any of the people I've saw posting have!

I have a girl on my friends list who is very Jeremy Kyle. And she posted this gem

I think the daughter should say those things to her mum in private and not on Facebook. Although it must be frustrating to have a family member who is jeopardising their health by over-eating and smoking. I wonder if poor old 25 stone mum is depressed? A bit of friendly advice, an offer to take her to Slimming World, or to the Smoking Cessation Clinic, might be better than belittling her on social media.

On the other hand I had a Facebook friend (now deleted) who only ever posted attention-seeking updates about her precarious health and how hard done by she was. She wasn't particularly old, but she'd taken very early retirement, she was divorced with no kids, and I reckon she was bored and lonely. She had various aches and pains but nothing seriously wrong with her. She had absolutely no sympathy for anyone who was ill though, and when a mutual friend was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, her response was 'at least you know what's wrong, not like me, the doctors are baffled...'

The picture isn't on her page anymore but she had put it on and captioned it something like "aw baby ma arsehole is bleeding". Someone must have reported it she puts these sort of pictures on often and complains when they get reported. The last one was of a fat woman bent over and she had a very large, wide open, erm....area!!
