I made the mistake of letting other workmates friend me......
cue a facebook news thread clogged up with endless crap. Stupid kittens wearing bows, endless bloody charity crap, village-idiot posts spelt badly eg. "Mate I fink u shud cas I aint got no time fr it" etc and ridiculous comments like " if my nan was still alive she would be 157 today. ( cue loads of stupid pictures of hearts, etc)....NO she wouldn't. She'd be dead.

AAAARRGGHHHHH! F ***** OFF!!

I've learnt my lesson!

Ah, they're no more. 'Wifey' got pregnant and then at some point before the baby's birth, she and 'Hubby' said 'Nunight' to their relationship.

Noooo! But they were so in love how could that have happened.

I just came across a page from a girl who lives near me. She's not on my friend list so I've got a bit of a cheek to be posting about her but never mind.

Anyway I'm having a nosey through her endless selfies and finding the captions pretty amusing "I'm so hot" etc. Now I'm not exactly an oil painting but she definitely isn't hot. In every single one of her photos she's wearing the same leopard print bra (a lot of these selfies are just of her in her bra but some are with a top on rolled up so you can see her stomach with the bra hanging out).

Then I come across a comment from some guy saying "naturally gorgeous". Now this girl has big thick black drawn on eyebrows and equally thick black eye liner which actually stretches out to the end of her eyebrows.

She's now involved in a big drama about how she wants to punch some girl and never stop and going on about how this girl is a terrible mother and should have her baby taken off her.

It's really sad to think that people like this actually exist

In the spirit of "someone not on my friends list", I've got one of those too. I refuse to friend her, even though she keeps asking me why I won't. I just tell her I only keep family on mine (which is true, pretty much), and that's that.

However, when I do look at her page, it's because another friend tells me about something posted. A few months ago, she broke up with her boyfriend, and then every other day there's a post tagging her "darling daddy" and saying that she's "daddy's little princess". Oh, and she'll post a drunk selfie, tag her father, then say "Oooh don't tell daddy his little girl's drunk!"

When she was with her boyfriend, the posts were all about her being his princess. The woman's in her mid-30s, for goodness sake, and she's got a child of her own. She makes me want to barf. And she wonders why I don't want to friend her.

I've got a saga going on Facebook at the moment ...

A woman I knew at school recently left her husband. She says he was violent towards her, he's involved in petty crime, etc. She makes endless Facebook posts referring to him either directly or indirectly: posting a ton of those "I'm a strong independent woman who don't need no man" memes, posting a picture of a bin bag full of his stuff, etc. Meanwhile, a mutual Facebook friend is getting married this year and keeps posting about the wedding, the honeymoon, dress fittings, cakes, etc. She and the soon-to-be divorcee seemed to be tolerant of each other at first but somehow (maybe there were private messages between them, I don't know) this has turned into open hostility. They keep making nasty comments on each other's posts: "you're a bitter old witch, no wonder he left you", "I left HIM, it'll be your turn soon, enjoy your wedding plans, bet he's cheating on you already ..." And they still seem to have each other friended, I guess they just enjoy sniping at each other ...

I do got annoying Facebook status as this lady post photo of herself with big text "Happy Birthday to me" at midnight, okay, but why she want the attention of let people know it her birthday when Facebook alert it's her birthday on right column. Sad lady.

I mean really, who cares about the toilet training of other people's kids? I have no kids but if I did I would not bore Facebook about potty training and "stand up wee wee's"

Depends on the procedure but about 4 days in hospital and 6 weeks off work, according to my workmate whose sister had a hysterectomy last year.

The ones I hate are the pictures of sick children and with the instruction 'Don't scroll past till you have said Amen' followed by loads of Amens.........wtf!

Also, there was one the other day of a young boy holding a notice saying 'If I get 300 likes my mum said I will get my kidney transplant'! Didn't realise the criteria for organ transplantation was dependant on the amount of likes you get on facebook nowadays.

My Mum was in hospital for 3 days and advised to rest for 6 weeks- it's a major operation. I felt she came home too quick but hosp was doing her head in. She was house bound for a while as the operation effected her bowels and bladder and was often cut short.

That appeared on mine, too, but with 1 million as the target. Imagine the poor boy's disappointment when he gets to a million and there's no donor kidney available.

One of my FB friends has shared one of those quote pictures that reads:

"Until you've lived my life, walked my path, suffered my pain, and seen what I've seen I could care less about your judgements."

I'm trying very, very hard not to comment and correct it.

I only have one friend on Facebook who posts stupid stuff on facebook.

She split up with her boyfriend a few months ago and for weeks she was saying how upset she was and how could he do this to her etc etc

Now she posts everyday how there are no good men, can't wait to meet mr right and why do men use her. It doesn't seem cross her mind that men she knows reads all this and puts them off. Apart from men that want to use her for sex as she comes across desperate.

On the subject of girls and their selfies...There's these 2 girls aged about 18-19 who are out with a different guy every month posting about how they want cuddles with their man...then it's a new guy.

One of them is a #freedom #dreamcatcher #believe and the other is "wot you sayin bout am best gal...I'm gunna smash your face in fukin sket fukin spas" (actual quote).... And yet all they do is post selfies with quotes....

"Milly" (not her real name) is someone I've known for a few years. "Molly" and "Mandy" are her half-sisters, but from different parents. Molly and Mandy seem to be locked in a sort of "custody battle" for Milly, with the result that this sort of thing happens a lot:

My female friend recently had one.

Im just concerned about her, about some things she's said.

I was under the impression from her posts, that she was confined to home, in fact she was staying at her moms initially but went back home after a week.

There were a few comments from her over certain aspects of the aftermath, mentioning bleeding & things.

As an old friend, Im showing some interest!

someone on facebook has recently signed up to sell some forever living products. Now all she does is constantly post updates on how great these products are and how we should all buy them. Now she has started messaging people trying to sign us up to sell them and make us all millionares.

I had a friend who did that with Herbalife - I eventually stopped talking to her as everything she said to be was a thinly veiled attempt at trying to get me to buy the crap.
