The ones where people on my feed post distressing pictures of animals injured/suffering etc, just to post angry faces. I dont want to see these!

I'm in a few FB groups but there's one woman who's recently joined who ends every sentence with "lmao" or lol".
This is the latest -
Quote:
“Has anyone else had splattering dics thar makes a right mess on and in ure machine ...... thats 4 times its happened I think from the same batch....... so I thought ide give tassimo a cutesy call as you do lmao and told the man on the phone and I gave to say the customer service is very good ...... with out any quible he said hes gonna send me a full pack of milk pods ..... thought that was good service lol next time any if us phones up maybe we should say the machines blown up lol and see what they send us lmao”

The spelling mistakes I can live with, but it's the complete lack of punctuation, grammar and proper sentences that does my head in!

I saw a picture of a dog with its ear hanging off the other day. It was captioned "like or share if you're against dog fighting", "ignore if you support it".

All of which enlisit the usual responses of "why, what's up, is everything ok?" And then the original person never goes into details of why they are in that mood or why they are at the hospital in the first place.”

It appears that there is a law that says at least one person will post "Hope your (sic) ok hun?xxxxxx" under these type of updates.

A woman on my FB has just 'checked-in' at our local hospital with the accompanying message "MRI today. Please pray they don't find anything "

The comments underneath were all filled with:
"Omg hun wots up??? Xxxxxxx"
"wot u gettn mri for? U ok? xxx"
"fingers and toes crossed for you babes xxxx"
"I had no idea you were sick babes fone me wen ur done xxx"
"omg! U ok? Xxx"

Hideous attention-seeking at it's worst.

Why gaze? Why? Why document EVERY SINGLE THING that occurs in your day-to-day life with a picture of yourself?”

Totally agree. And the thing that gets me about all these silly selfie us that not one person is actually looking at the camera; their eyes are always very slightly off centre because they're staring at the image of their idiotic faces on their phone screens rather than the actual camera lens.

People "bumping" threads or resurrecting really old ones

Or posting in the wrong thread, perhaps?

No, they do it on Facebook - I keep seeing old things coming back to the top of my news feed because someone has dredged up something from ages back. Someone recently did this on a friend's months-old baby scan which just made me boggle, said friend has now had the baby, surely that is more relevant? (I meant posts though, said "threads" because I'm on a forum - d'oh!" )

I'm expecting to see myself featuring in this thread soon, because my little dog is 2 today and I posted a pic of him and his birthday cake (a sausage with a candle in it). No selfie to accompany it though.

its not really an update as such but there is a girl I absolutely want to stab in the eye and throw a rock at her head - however she's friends with some of my friends. When she likes things that have me involved I so want to post that actually her liking it has ruined the entire thing

bit irrational I know

Block her, then you won't see her Facebook activity.

"Bloody foreigners next door drilling and banging at 10 at night! If they wake my son up there's gonna be problems!"

Can't decide who's side im on! Yes its an annoyance that the neighbours are doing diy late at night, but shes said before they do that because they work all day so only get a few hours inthe evening that they are about.

Plus shes the mother who let her son have time off school because it was sunny and she didnt want him to miss out on his paddling pool! Maybe if she had a job she would realise that you cant do all your diy 9-3 while the kids are at school!

plus she didn't have to use the word 'foreigners' - 'bloody neighbours' would have done??

MRI lady obviously ddidn't get enough attention from her status update above so she is now posting new updates saying things like:

"Really shitting myself for the results of this scan "

Unbelievable.

exactly. it's like the phrase, never believe anything until it's officially denied. when people post stuff like, im happy with my weight/life, or, im staying single now it's less stress, it usually means the exact opposite.

One of my best friends has a guy she is friends with who has to comment on EVERYTHING that she puts on Facebook and anything that anyone else tags her in regardless of whether or not he knows them. 99.9% of the time it's pure nonsense, the rest of the time he borders on the inappropriate (talking about how nice her legs or bum is etc).

She thinks he's harmless but I do wonder why a man who is middle aged is quite happy to spend almost all of his time on Facebook talking to young, good looking females (or have I answered my own question there?).

There's this really lonely guy who constantly posts shit like
"Sigh I am still single"
"Why am I alone. I am a nice caring boy"
"Going to die a fat virgin"

I feel like paying for a hooker just to shut him up.

I had a few people like that on my Twitter feed a while ago. I ended up unfollowing them all. Can't bear that sort of thing. It's pure grief/outrage porn on their part.

I have a friend who does that, constantly berating himself and his lack of luck in loving - maybe it's the same chap? Does your bloke's name begin with M? If so, I'll go halves on the prozzie.

Its a bit hypocritical of me to say this as I feel lonely sometimes too, but "nice guys" constantly moaning all the time annoy me! Dont know why
