I just saw this facebook update from one of my so called liberal friends.

"If you are planning to vote leave in the Eu referendum please do me a favour and remove me from your friends list now, I've no time for bigots"

Kind of ironic really
Since the dictionary defines bigot as

"a person who is intolerant towards those holding different opinions."

Mine is the opposite the ones voting leave keep going on about the stays as traitors.

Fair enough it's only 2-3 but God they go on about it don't think they can go half a hour without posting about vote leave.

Just when you thought the "mummy dare" thing couldn't get any worse it appears we now have the "dog mummy dare". Post five pictures that make you proud to be a mummy of a dog.

Honestly, are these people insane? When people refer to themselves as mummy when talking about their dogs it makes me question their sanity anyway but the "dog mummy dare" just takes the biscuit for ridiculous things.

You're a bloody human (at least we think you are), you are not your dog's "mummy". You are your dog's owner.

Damn right I'm not my dog's "mummy" - that's insane,

(I'm my dog's Daddy... )

I have one on my FB , posts things like:

" really mugged off now"

Or

" guess what's gone wrong now"

.....cue loads of comments underneath in reply..

What's up??
Can you ring me?
Tell us
Oh no do you need to talk?

Etc etc - with no other post forthcoming form the original fb poster to explain etc.

Getting tired of this misery vacuum on my facebook, I waited for the next comment , which was something like

" I'm so angry and fed up"

I immediately posted underneath

" I'm not. I'm fine, and sipping beer on the seafront in Ryde watching the hovercraft. It's red hot here"

Then I had a little facebook prune. Snip! Snip!

And for the second year running (at least) a relative is asking for money. Her child's pre school is holding a PJ day in order to raise money to send the children on a school trip.

I'm seeing a lot of these at the moment. People who claim to be tolerant and accepting all the time are unable to accept that you may have an opposite view point. It's funny and sad in a way when they post meme after meme calling for accepting a person because of their race or sexaulity but at the same time you can't disagree with them when it comes to politics.

I assumed that was all the kids paid £1 or something, Do they actually go around asking family/friends for money too? That is pathetic if so

Some people do, I'm not sure why I'm supposed to care that Brooklyn, Jaydin, EmmaLeigh and laci-mai are having an outing and they want me to contribute. You had the kids it's your problem. Try asking one of the four dads.

I wish I were making that up but it's true!

"We are Orlando "massive support for the LGBTcommunity but I cant see what attaching an ungrammatical statement to your profile picture achieves.reminds me of when everyone suddenly decided they were french last year and everyone had the tricolour on their profile pic.its all so attention seeking and 'look at me"

My brother changed his profile pic to "Je Suis Charlie" after the Charlie Hebdo attack - but he's an arrogant, self-centered bully who frequently beat me up when we were growing up, and who was obnoxious to me at our Dad's funeral when I was just sitting there minding my own business.

So for him to show support/compassion for complete strangers on the other side of the Channel when he's a complete a***hole to his own relatives struck me as a tad hypocritical. (I'm not FB friends with him but my niece is. I've now blocked him to stop him appearing in my "people you may know " list.)

I'm a bit late in posting this, but I was amazed that my workmate who hates muslims posted tributes to Mohammed Ali after his death. I was so tempted to state the obvious, but managed to restrain myself.

I've got a couple of friends like that. Since the objective is to solicit the sort of replies that you've listed, I have devised a fiendishly cunning strategy which consists of posting responses like these:

"It's always darkest before the dawn"
"Everything happens for a reason"
"It's life's way of making you stronger"
Etc, etc

That should wind them right up.

The great thing about this plan is that most of us will have a few friends who post large volumes of meaningless bullshit like that, so we have an inexhaustible source of vaguely positive wank that we can post in response to the attention-seeking "Woe is me" stuff.

I know I'll get stick for it but those who have their job listed as 'Works as full time momny'

Though it's not quite as annoying as the baby on board car stickers. As though I'm going to deliberately crash into your car if you don't have one!

Urgh!

I see a lot of:
'At A&E' How much longer would it take to add 'Because Dave broke his hand.

And people checking in at the hospital at 3 am. If they had time to do that they had a few more seconds to say it's nothing serious. Or if it is don't post until you've spoken to friends and family first!

I admit, I changed my picture for the Belgium attacks, but then I know people who worked at Brussels Airport, two of whom were on shift at the time, so felt like I had personal reasons to show them support. I only had it that way for a few days.

I don't understand this. Why use the word "willing" as if it's some sort of challenge or dangerous thing to do?

This is another thing that really p***** me off. At one point there were several doing the rounds all asking if you are willing to change your status for a day and to see who is brave enough. Another is those silly memes that say 'share if you love your mother / farther / children / hate cancer / love your grandparents / grand children / hate terrorism etc... in one minute' As though you love animal abuse if you don't share a stupid meme.
My personal favourite 'This is the face of money, it only appears once every 2000 years, share this in one minute and you will always have money' Morons!

I always just scroll pass these. Yes, I love my parents. Do I really need to announce this fact on social media?
