I have randomly come across two seperate people on FB who have named their sprogs 'Rylan' and 'Tulisa'.

EDIT: I'm not in the Katie Hopkins club of judging kids by their names, but REALLY?!
I know a Dublin chav who has a "Tulisa" (born last year) and a "Dannii-Cheryl"

The thing I don't get is it's for breast cancer awareness, so to raise the profile of an already well known cancer you post cryptic messages that have no link to cancer at all. I would much rather see people posting links to cancer awareness sites and charities.
Yep, I posted a post to this effect last year after all the "I'm going to Las Vegas for 20 months" posts came out and got lambasted for this. They soon shut up when I told them my sister has had breast cancer and that posts of this nature, whilst silly "fun" to some, did naff all re raising money for breast cancer research and even less for awareness.

I'm a little bit torn on this one. Whilst I think it's absolutely horrific and no doubt the page will feature picture after picture that are all identical and loads of terrible posts exclaiming how clever she is for burping or how "gawjuss" the "little princess" is at least they're keeping it separate from their own Facebook. By creating a page that people can join at least it means only people who want to will see the pics and they won't be clogging your timeline up. I actually wish a few of my friends would do this as I'm sick of seeing pics of their kids.
Well the mum and dad are tagging themselves in the photos, so their still appearing on my page. Plus i've now got one of the grandmas commenting on every picture to take it down because of all the evil people on facebook who steal the kids pictures. Some of my family are just such dumb****s.

Haha some people are just idiots! What's the point in making the group if they're just going to tag themselves? I was obviously crediting them with more intelligence and thought for others than they have.

I'm with you on this! I came into this thread purely to complain about all of these stupid cryptic posts. I even felt compelled to blog about it yesterday and have been really pleasantly surprised by the number of people who have shared it, in apparent agreement, although I have had a lot of snide comments sent to me privately.

Ugh i want to put pins in my eyes after seeing this! A bit of background info on the poster. Shes 24, obese, always swearing and slagging someone off, and all her "relationships" are played out over facebook. We get every update of what she and the latest bloke are doing (she updates about everything!) and how its the love of her life. Usually then theres the breakup where she and he argue and friends of each of them defend them and it turns into a virtual brawl with threats etc. then they get back together. Then theres a split and within days shes onto the next bloke.

Today she uploaded 10 pics of herself. *shudder* 5 in a skimpy schoolgirl uniform with pigtails, and 5 as a secretary (i think) bent over a table! All with the caption "sexy pics for *new bloke* love u babes x"

Why???? Why cant she email them to him? Print them for him? Dress up for him? Why on earth do we have to see these private images that tbh i would rather not see again!

That must be why I've got lots of random posts on my newsfeed saying "I like it behind the sofa", "I like it in the kitchen" etc

I'm assuming it's something for breast cancer (Like when people were writing the colour of their bra), it's daft.
If something is meant to raise awarness it why is it being kept all secreative?!

Yep, and men get breast cancer too.

It doesn't help awareness or research or fundraising. Apparently Cancer Research UK have published something advising people to ignore the posts now too.

I've just started replying to these, "Cancer's been around for a long while now so maybe it's time for a little less awareness, and a little more action."

The majority of people on my FB do bugger all in relation to fund raising but think that posting a cryptic message about their handbag is somehow doing good things for cancer.

Well done. The more people that call foul on this stupid carryon the better.

I've lost nearly 10 FB friends since I posted a status saying that these updates were insulting & pointless, especially seeing as how my sis has had BC! *****.

This person has recently lost a good bit of weight and posts a lot of attention seeking posts like this, plus countless pictures of herself. I think she's hoping someone will scold her for eating too little and being too thin and beautiful (she isn't)

Someone on my brother-in-laws page just uploaded a pic of two bottles of drink (buckfast) and loads of empty painkiller packets with the comment of "job done, no more problems"

I know a bloke who posted that he'd split with his gf and couldn't go on living. He then made a grand statement about killing himself and thanked US all for our friendship. The next day, he wad online playing farmville and, a month later, was posting vomit inducing love messages to a new gf.

God almighty, that's horrific. Attention seeking at its utter worst.

Someone I know who is way too old enough to know better has just broken up with her latest romance. They got together at Xmas, she moved in with him in February and posted numerous unsubtle links to The Millionaire Matchmaker asking "when is he gonna put a ring on it" & hashtags such as #marryme #commitment :O She's now virtually suicidal and keeps putting up hashtags such as #allalone #endofmylife #homeless #lifewrecked and #kantkope

The rest of us could have seen this coming from space.

I've never been suicidal so I could e wrong but I don't imagine people who genuinely want to end it all announce their over dose on Face Book... What a thing to do!!

I've got a "friend" who I keep purely for entertainment purposes. She's got 4 kids and always banging on about the importance of working to provide for your kids, and slagging off anyone daring to be a stay at home mum. While it suits her, she quite often packs her job in and says that life is precious and she wants to spend more time with her kids, and slags off anyone who dares to work to provide for their kids. She talks about money and the cost of things constantly, how she's spent £200 on school uniforms in Next, bought new Hunter wellies and a 60 inch plasma screen telly for the kids bedroom etc.

Anyway, she put yesterday that she had been offered an extra 18-25 hours per week at work, until christmas on top of her alleged 60 hours that she already does, and couldn't decide whether or not to take it. All her friends were saying, don't do it, your kids would rather have you around than have lavish presents etc, apart from one who joked, "go to work, kids are stressful!" She's decided after sitting the children down and asking them ( they are 2,5,7 and 11) that she will take the extra work because the children would rather have the money!

^^^I would have to delete I can't bare people who brag about money and what they have. Pretty sad to think that the children would rather have the money than spend more time with their mother. I have an aunt who spends hardly any time with her children and just buys them stuff instead. They've grown up to be the 2 greediest young adults I know.

Did anyone check on him to see if he had made a suicide attempt?

Seeing as she is constantly on FB, surely her friends could contact her through that?!
