I think it was mentioned in the last thread, but one that bugs me is when women post something along the lines of "I'm a curvy woman and proud!' Men want curvy women, not a woman with the body of a boy!!"

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for being proud of your body and liking the way you look, but I think it's a bit rude to say that more slender ladies aren't real women. I think this bugs me more because one of the women on my timeline that posts these is definitely very overweight, possibly obese, yet always tell me that I am far too skinny, definitely anorexic, and nobody would find my body type attractive. Umm, okay? Thanks?

Funny thing is, most of the women who post this are at Slimming World, cue next status "Yay I lost 1lb!"...

- If your phone gets wet, try putting it in a bag of dry rice.
At night, the rice will attract Asians who will fix your electronics for you.

Selfie Hotpants Girl's updates have become more serious now. It's been her 30th birthday and she's making a "birth-month" out of it - nowt wrong with that. Only snag is she hasn't seen her son (who she has main custody of) since July and her ex's mother keeps making subtly snide posts on her wall (as opposed to texts or private messages) about how her son keeps calling her crying - she responded today with "well he called me on Monday and he was fine then!".

Mother of the year.

Haha SO true!!

I can think of 3 or 4 "larger" ladies on my friend list who are always posting things about being "real women." Then the next minute they're saying they're off to Slimming World or Weight Watchers!

I read every post on the previous thread and was very thankful not to see any of my FB posts appear - I did wonder if my status about my new ironing board (with picture) would have made it here

This may sound heartless but, someone on FB a family member lost her baby at 20 weeks pregnant. I feel very sorry for them, but fed up seeing hourly poems of baby in heaven and how much I miss you, even pictures of the dead baby's legs and arm. Some things are meant to be private. Iv lost baby's in the past and didnt look for sympathy.

I lost a friend at new year, was an extremely distressing time, but every month since, a few of my friends post "Can't believe it's been 1 month mate, I bet you're raving your bean off up there in heaven!" "2 months have gone by so fast, I know you're looking down on us" etc, etc, every month. I agree with your sentiment.

There can't be many with month-long 30th birthdays leaving their child behind while they travel (what seems to be) the globe!

What are the odds of you both having the same person on your lists I was hoping this would happen!

Given how god-awful her need for attention seeking is on FB/Twitter, it's inevitable she'll top the charts with a few of us! I knew this day would come......

I'm quite surprised that no-one has recognised their own statuses yet. It's got to happen sooner or later.

I still wish I had a selfie hotpants girl on my FB.

It's very, very rare I get any bikini shots either.

Be very, very, very careful what you wish for Cap'n. If you're on Twitter follow the horror that is Selfpic Bankers. Honestly, to paraphrase Milhouse from the Simpsons, "it's worse than a million dead bodies".

Last edited by MissPinotGrigio : 30-08-2013 at 14:01. Reason: Bankers was not used with original spelling ;)

were they 'real locations' (bad) or 'made up locations' (good as it screws with the marketing)
They were 'real locations' but he wasn't actually there.

I only know this cos of his friend said 'my dad lives by that way' and which my brother replied 'oh I wasn't actually there'.
