Other than that there's not been much idiocy on my Facebook lately, aside from the usual missing person hoaxes, share this for blah blah blah, I like it on the sofa etc.

Oh yeah, one annoyed me today though. Posted a huge rant about how she's sick of seeing people whinging and moaning on Facebook, they might actually want to consider that some people have REAL problems, there's always someone worse off than you think you are... And I just thought yeah, whatever... I haven't been whinging on facebook recently so I know it wasn't aimed at me but seriously, What does she know about people's problems? If people wanna whinge that their washers broken/they're skint/their other half is being a titsquirrel/they don't want to go to work tomorrow, then good for them if it makes them feel better. That's what Facebook is there for. You'd have to be a bit of a crank to expect every single post you see to be people being all cheerful and overly happy, that's usually fake bullshit anyway.”

You could point out that she is actually moaning about people moaning, and that other people's moaning is not really a big problem compared to the problems that other people have!

Bitstrips is driving me INSANE!!! Cute the first few times, but with some friends it's time to get over yourselves!!

Oh just saw a shared update:

**URGENT**GIRAFFE GAME NOTICE**URGENT**
Just found out that the Giraffe challenge was set up by the hacking group "Anonymous". Apparently they're going to embark on a random 'cleansing' program which will wipe out the bank accounts and hard drives of those people who have giraffe profile pics...A few of my FB friends have already had it happen, so change your pics back!!!

Yeah ok, I remember changing profile pics to fave childhood characters a few years ago. I had Sooty. This meant apparently I was going to get targeted by a paedophile gang lol. I was 37 or 38 at the time - Why would a paedophile gang target me? Did make me laugh. Love Facebook Hysteria

I'd kick off at them about the poor people who died.

I've had several people posting one of those fake Met Police warnings about the murder of a girl called Leigh Matthews. The hoax is that she was recently abducted from a service station on the M3 and the hoax of course, asks people to pass it on to as many people as possible.

The actual tragic event happened back in 2004 in South Africa.

Bitstrips drives me potty - I blocked it from my feed a couple of months ago but it still shows up if another friend comments on or likes the post. It seems to be having a resurgence at the moment unfortunately.

I saw the giraffe warning last night - a couple of friends posted it "just in case". I swear that evolution in going into reverse.........

Presumably if you know it's your parents then the door is already open too, unless they're shouting and hollering which would probably piss off the neighbours at 3am.

If it's both my parents at the door then the first thing to be opened would probably be the coffin when they exhumed my dad.

BitStrips is annoying me too, everyone is at it, even people who don't normally post crap. Seen that "hilarious" one about the morning coffee and a zombie about 20 times now.

Another person bored of Bitstrips after five minutes already. It wouldn't be so bad if the pictures were a bit more varied, I've seen several different people use the same template.

Also I've got a friend who has announced she is two weeks pregnant and is already complaining of morning sickness. No doubt she is not feeling great, but I fear she is going to go overboard with it...

My cousin has shared a post from a group identifying alleged paedophiles in the local area. All the comments are stuff like 'SICK B*****D!!', which is all very well if they are sex offenders. However, I can't help thinking that it's very easy to get hold of someone's identity and photo and falsely 'out' them as a sex offender, potentially causing vigilante attacks.

The latest Facebook page promising free gifts in exchange for 'Likes' is "We have got 200 pieces of Samsung Galaxy S4 that can’t be sold because they have been unsealed. Therefore we are giving them away for free..." etc. It was iPads a while ago, Xboxes a couple of years ago...

I suppose it singles out the people most likely to fall for scams for the scammers...

I find that even if someone points out to them that it is a hoax, the usual reaction is "Well what harm can it do...?" It can show that you are susceptible to being hoaxed for a start!

There's one that's doing the round at the moment, that is really annoying

Ok - so what will the lucky person be getting? as this is on nearly EVERY sodding picture in their page - from Katie Price style cots, to dream children bedrooms to chav like clothing

Someone on my friends list commented on a post by a woman who put a picture of her stillborn baby on Facebook on a group called Capture Your Grief - 2013, and consequently the photo appeared on my feed this morning. I had a look at the group and it's filled with people posting photos of dead fetuses and babies dressed in clothes. It's like something from Brass Eye. Is there nothing people won't post on Facebook?

I think you should post this link on their page:
http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2...bijan-ebrahimi

Basically, a man in Bristol was arrested by the police after taking photos of vandals attacking his hanging baskets. Someone called the police so suggest he was a "paedo", he was arrested, taken to the station, released with no charge (because there was no wrongdoing whatsoever), but the mindless cretins in Bristol had decided he was a child abuser and decided to mete out their own justice, so two days later, he was dragged into the street, beaten unconscious and set alight.

These cretinous FB groups can be seen as quite innocent, but the idiotic followers have that dangerous mix of very few brain cells, a very skewed view of 'justice', seemingly no conscience and the ability to cause harm to innocent people.
