Why do people put so much personal stuff on Facebook? One of my friends fell out with her daughter and used to write lengthy, vicious diatribes against her, for all to see. It's not the right way of trying to resolve a family problem is it? To this day, the daughter has nothing to do with her mother and doesn't let her see her grandchildren either. A shouting, screaming argument in the privacy of their home would have been better, I think.

I wish they would put a 'are you sure you want to send this friend request' warning on there. I just noticed they have added a 'see friend request' link and I had a look and I had sent a friend request to a complete stranger.

There are so many 'add friend' buttons on there moving the mouse across a Facebook page can be quite traumatic these days, how the hell do people manage with their mobiles I wonder.

I had a message the other morning that someone I've never heard of, living in Arkansas, had accepted my friend request. I don't know how that happened!! Touch screen phone maybe?

I'm looking forward to the first snow of the winter so I have to wade through about 100 different variations of "Ooh, it's snowing". This would be great if I'd forgotten how to look out of the window.

Add them to your restricted list in Privacy settings. Has exactly the same effect to your newsfeed as defriending them. You don't see anything from them and they are still your friends when they look at their friends list. I use it all the time.

Oh, scratch that. It works the other way. They don't see your posts but you can see theirs. Bummer. There should be the option for the other way.

Click the find friends link on the long menu down the left side on your main page. Beneath the 'no new friend requests' is a blue 'see sent requests' link.
