I really do need to defriend myself of all the baby/child bores, swear to god.
Has anyone seen those vile herpes emails? Featuring a massive close up pic of a child's extreme herpes-ridden face? They're being sent around by my mummy friends as a "school infection awareness" exercise. Jesus! Stop it! |

Are they still saying "sexy lil' man" about their 3 year olds?
![]() Seriously, yes. I really do have some utter bunny boiler mums on my feed, I need to lose them. Apparently in one case posting 30 pics a day (alas I'm not exaggerating) doesn't seem to be recognised as symptomatic of extreme mental problems. |

I had a tragic one the other day.
"My lil princess is so ill, she can't breathe, can't stand seeing her like this, what should I do? xxxx" Funnily enough, no one suggested going to hospital or calling an ambulance... The next morning, she took her to the doctor who send her straight to hospital and we were treated to photos of her child on a drip and a breathing mask. |

We got ourselves a new family member in the form of a lovely jack russell yesterday - It was tempting to take lots of pictures and post them all to facebook but i restrained! May do a project 365 type thing see how that goes down with people
![]() Equally an interesting debate kicked off on one of my friends posts yesterday, she's very pro breastfeeding and a lot of her posts are focused on that, this one however was the 'dangers of formula feeding' and the row that kicked off was incrediable she has had two people defreiend her for the post. I'm not a parent so I don't know if these kind of posts are or feel like personal attacks or if they'd had enough of seeing those types of posts. |

I see a lot of these "inspirational" stories floating about just now with pictures of cancer ridden children who make miracle recoveries, or soldiers who's dogs go mental when they come home, or peoples pets who help them inject insulin or some bollocks. Whenever I see one I just post "This didn't happen, the kid died" or "this didn't happen, the dog died when he was in Iraq" to see what people say. That old lie about the racist lady on the plane is STILL doing the rounds after appearing in a chain email 15 years ago! It's simply never happened, but people still lap it up, no matter how many re-incarnations it has!
May sound harsh, but I really don't care about a story which is circulated so many times on peoples facebooks that it's probably not even true anyway. Even if it is then who cares? It happened years ago and I bet he last thing they wanted, especially the sick kids ones, was to have their picture splashed all over total strangers facebook pages. I really hate the countless "cancer/diabetes/down syndrome/whatever support" groups which post inspirational messages about God or some made up celebrity quote on a background of clouds or flowers which idiots "share" and "like" and it ends up on my feed. When you click on these groups they just post pictures of cats, videos of people falling off bikes or crap about hanging peados the other 99% of the time. |

So does me not liking say that I think child abuse/cancer/ebola/disability discrimination/racism is ace? Please. It's the utter pointlessness that gets me too. I'm avoiding those petitions like the plague as well since the last one I signed bombarded me with about 10 spam emails a day.

I don't know if I mentioned it here but a friend (not really a close one, just a slightly friendly acquaintance, put a status up saying:
"Like if you hate paedophiles" Really?

It's not harsh, Blo, I totally agree, it's all massive BS. And I refuse to click "like" because I'm against child abuse/cancer/ebola/disability discrimination/racism.

I know valentines day is approaching but all the single people seem to be putting those we are single and fab stuff like I'm single because I don't settle and it means I'm a strong independent person .These are the people who check in on every date they go on , talk about how this is the one when they do find someone and then proceed to tell facebook and the world every detail of their love life.
I saw 10 put up within the last half hour so I shared a post saying "Don't worry if you're sad about being alone on valentines Day, just remember nobody loves you on any other day of the year either"

Out of the ones that are already married I am guessing at least one will announce they are expecting a baby, but there were 2 of these over Christmas so the odds are smaller. One couple last night posted something along the lines of "wanted to wait until Valentines day to announce this, but we just got the keys to our house!" Cue loads of "OMG congrats Hun" style posts and stuff about how they both worked so hard for it (they didn't...I used to work with the girl and she skived of all the time, it's all her partners doing). Why on Earth would you need to a) tell anyone this and b) think it's necessary to announce it to the World on Valentines day? ![]() What next? Waiting until Easter Sunday to announce your MOT results?

From another baby bore. "I can't believe my baby's two today".
OK, what's so difficult to believe? It's pretty basic science, as time passes people age and babies grow up. |
