"look mummy I'm watching telly" followed by a picture of daughter with remote in hand, ."look Mummy I'm having dinner" followed by picture of baby, bib and food everywhere. "Time for a nap he he" followed by picture f baby asleep.

All this from someone, who before they had a baby used to moan non stop about people posting inane baby pictures.

....snip

Anyhoo, she posted plenty of picture today of the baby's first birthday. Nothing unusual there but it was the reply of one of the other mums at the party:

I'm feeling a bad mummy because I didn't take any pics!!! I must of been Enjoying the moment??

Couldn't tell if she was being intentionally sarcastic or not. Probably the latter I reckon.
Wow - saucer of milk for that Mum..... she's probably listed as a Full Time Yummy Mummy too

was that a status?

That is my #1 pet peeve on Facebook. Why oh why do people address a rant directly to someone by putting it as their Facebook status for everyone to see? Why not text them? Or phone them? Or message them directly? Why share it to everyone else?

What a ****ing attention seeking moron. I deleted my Facebook on Saturday night and I'm glad I don't need to read crap like that every day.
I did the same today. I might sound up myself but I was getting sick of the baby/child bores. I don't have kids and am not really interested in anyones other than my cousins kids. Im also not interested whether someone broke a nail whilst washing up. The 'share if you agree' annoy me as do the causes. Theres always stuff about dogs who cant find homes because they are disabled or whatever. We also get the 'lets have a go at someone in a status'. I dont effing care! Hence me removing my account.

I logged back into my account for a few minutes last night (my Mum told me my little cousin had stuck a fake tattoo thing on my aunties forehead and she couldn't get it off! I had to check out the pictures! Haha!) and the minute I signed in, at the top of my news feed was a rant from someone about how much they hate benefit scroungers and how she's sick of going out to work every day while they "sit on their arse all ****ing day".

This is the girl who had no job for three years and only started her first job last month, and only got the job because her Dad begged his friend at the pub to give her some shifts. She's got tons of likes and comments like "exactly! Sick of my taxes going to their Xboxes, lazy little shits" etc.

Makes my blood boil, but hey I signed back out and don't intend on going back any time soon.

Brilliant. Just brilliant. A girl on my FB has replied to her chavvy brother, who has his profile wide open for everyone to see. This was his status:

"Well I [sic] dirty low life scum I would of give my life for u gone to hell and back for u u ain't no brother of mine c**t"

After the usual course of "Are you alright hun", "U ok bbe" it turns out that his brother is porking his ex gf You can't make this stuff up!

As much as I criticise all these FB status soap operas, I have to confess that I bloody love 'em. Nothing like an unfolding FB drama..... and if that means I'm going to hell, then at least it's hot down there

Yep, I'm much the same.

They can be annoying, but sometimes watching a drama unfold in front of your eyes can be quite fun.

One on my timeline today:

??? Woke Up Every 20 Mins All Damn Night Last Night....And To Top It Off Iv Got Up With What Feels Like The Start Of A Cold/Chest Infection....I Feel Poo!!
??? is her daughter, a child of less than one year old. All this girl does is moan and constantly complain about her wee one, she's been posting similar complaining about her daughter since the poor wee mite was born.

One of her friends responded with:

be grateful youve not had your baby in hospital the last two night x
And a full blown FB argument is now kicking off.

What on earth are these "Nek Nominations" that i've been seeing on facebook lately?

I read one about a girl who decided to help a homeless guy out by buying him some lunch but it turned out he wasn't as genuine as he made out to be or is that not the same thing?

Nek nominations are idiots daring each other to down pints of alcohol and film it to put on facebook and dare other people. So far i think there have been four deaths from it.

What you describe sounds like rak nominations, whereby people fed up of the stupidness of getting smashed as a dare, encourage each other to do a random act of kindness and get others to join in.

I think someone in south africa started that by giving food to homeless kids as a way of turning the silly nek nominations into something positive.

I've got a friend that is pregnant and all she does is moan. Every status mentions that fact that she's pregnant too. She was moaning about being at work and saying how much she was looking forward to maternity leave and now she's on maternity leave she's moaning that she's bored!

I've also got a friend who went on a big rant and shared stuff about banning Neknominations and how bad it was and then three hours later she liked somebodies Neknominate video.

I don't really understand people deleting their accounts because they're sick of seeing certain peoples updates though. You see these updates because you're friends with the person which means at some point you've either sent them a friend request or accepted theirs. If the updates annoy you that much then unfriend the person or hide their updates. I've a couple of people who I've hidden all picture posts from because they constantly post either annoying motivational crap or baby pics that were clogging up my feed.

BIB - Can I ask how you did that please?

I have a friend who I adore but when there football team play it takes over my timeline with constant pictures supporting that team. I've worked out how to hide the shared ones without hiding my friend but to have ALL the pictures hidden without hiding my friend all together would be awesome

A Facebook friend was tagged in a photo with his little daughter. The kid probably isn't even a year old. The girl who tagged him in the photo is the mother.

''Here's little ___ with her 'father' during that one time he bothered to pay her a visit in the last 6 months.'' was the status update that accompanied the picture.

Bizarrely, the father 'liked' it!

This girl is the biggest attention grabber out there. She once met a footballer and for ages was like it was so nice to see my favourite. Her photos are nearly all slutty selfies or pictures of whatever man she's manipulating this week has bought her.

I'm not even laughing at this one, I'm fuming.

Mate puts up a pic of her baby, all well & good. Her MIL (prone to a lot of self-pitying drama at the best of times, but alas she's just been diagnosed with terminal cancer - yes she loves to post about it on all kinds of posts but still..... let her) posts "my beautiful granddaughter, the only thing I have left while this horrible disease kills me". Mate's rather thick other friend posts "aw hope you're OK MIL"....

Not sure what I can say to that level of stupidity.

They've changed it all recently so I'm not exactly sure where it is now. When I did it I clicked on the "friends" box on a friends profiles and there was a "settings" option where you could pick exactly what you saw of theirs (photos, videos, check-ins etc. etc.). That seems to have gone now in favour of the "unfollow" button which just hides everything. I still don't see photos from the people I hid though so there must still be a way of doing it. You could possibly do it by using lists (either auto lists like acquaintances or self-created ones) or maybe by clicking on the arrow in the corner when someone posts a pic?

Thanks Jambo_c, I will have a play around with my settings. It seems you can only hide pages when a post is shared onto your timeline, when it's liked I only get the option to unfollow the person. who liked it.

Let me get this straight - they're still friends on FB? Or have I completely got the wrong end of the stick?

From what I can tell, there is a sister and two brothers.

The brother that has been "wronged" and the sis are on FB and are spouting bile and vitriol. The brother who his banging his brother's ex-gf doesn't seem to be on FB or is hidden, so they are basically just ranting on their own timelines.

I deleted mine because almost everyones posts were annoying me. So maybe FB isnt for me. Outside of FB these people are lovely but I just get bored seeing the same kids photos and whether they are in Costa today.
