A girl just linked a picture of sex positions with a caption like "time for what?"
I cringed so hard I'm positive my hand actually passed through my forehead and to the other side. |

Theres so many moaning minnys on facebook these days! Honestly if I unfriended all the moaners there'd not be many friends left. I'll admit I did post last week after having an operation to let folk know it had went well, but that was a one off. I wouldn't normally post anything like that but I wasn't prepared to text all the concerned ones individually and keep repeating myself (however in the future for anything like that, I think I will just text them all. I felt quite attention seeky). I have a friend on facebook whos my mums friend and I babysit her children sometimes, so when she sent me a request of course I accepted it. After a while I was wishing I hadn't, she is the BIGGEST moaner ever! All she does is post statues constantly saying how her wee baby boy is poorly and on antibotics AGAIN. Or how her darling daughter just wouldnt go to sleep all night (shes 4 and never had a bedtime or routine, shes hard work to babysit) Or how she has back ache. Or how bad the weather is. She's a nice woman in person! (I've enjoyed reading posts in this thread, quite amusing!)

Someone who went to high school with me has posted a picture of them handing over a Subway sandwich to a homeless tramp with the caption "Doing good things for other people makes you feel good".
Cue 50 likes and 50 comments calling them inspirational and amazing and a heart of gold. Why not just feed the homeless person without taking a picture and putting it on Facebook? It's so transparent. |

I hate people who post about their kids all the time. I had one 'friend' who would constantly go on about her son and post those cheesy 'proud to be a mummy' posts all the freaking time and go on about how much hard work motherhood was. This was literally what all her statuses were about - she made the occasional one complaining about her weight but mostly it was about being a mummy.

Parents who post on facebook aimed at their children, things like telling their three year old they are so proud of them for not waking up during the night, I just don't get it. Surely three year olds are not on facebook, so why post it?

Oh, I thought for a moment you meant they literally had beans and squirrels! The ones who appear to be genuinely happily married never post such crap. |

A pampered pet with purple nails, how fabulous."She has a custom made mardi gra printed top and hat with an adorable mardi gra colored tutu" I'm all for treating your pets like one of the family, but I think manicures and "adorable" mardi gras outfits are stretching it a bit! |

It's the same as when they post happy birthday messages, completely pointless. I actually posted a happy birthday message to my fridge and then pointed out that it's exactly the same as wishing your 2 year old child a happy birthday on Facebook. Neither are on Facebook and neither have the ability to see or read the post, therefore it's completely pointless. That actually got quite a few likes so quite a few people must feel the same!

My news feed is already blowing up with valentines messages *yawn*
Valentines day isn't even until tomorrow people! Come tomorrow it will be even worse, but I am waiting to see a certain FB friends message, as she is so full of hypocrisy it's funny! Last year she wrote a massive status about how valentines is a load of rubbish, she loves her hubby every day of the year and doesn't need a special day to show him blah blah blah, how we should all be grateful for our men, every day not just one, then in the evening wrote out a gushing status about how much she loves him, and how spoilt she has been by him and pictures of the cards and presents they got eachother! The thing I have noticed over the last few years though, is that those who are genuinely content, whether they celebrate or not post nothing about it at all!? Oh I've also already seen a 'forever alone' type post... about not having anyone to spend the day with... and someone reply with 'no one loves you any other time of year either' starting a riot about how that comment was so harsh and unfair... |

Batten down the hatches guys, I'm predicting tomorrow Facebook will be bursting with horribly sappy posts. As a single gal I'm tempted to boycott the internet for a day.

It's not that I'm not happy for people, I am, but message after message about how wonderful their partner is drives me insane! We do celebrate valentines day, but not in a big way, we'll probably have a nice dinner and that's about it, I don't see the need to tell the whole of FB about it, and I certainly won't be posting pics with the caption 'Look what I made my man' or 'Lool what my man made me' (I'm hoping I can con him into cooking LOL)

Is this attention seeking when someone posts a photo of themselves after having an eye operation?
