Nah I reckon highly unlikely, unless someone was blowing the smoke or dropping ash directly into the food. I grew up with parents who smoked all around the house, and none of our meals ever tasted of fags. Ever. I would have said so if they had, what with being a right little fusspot.

But that would have been because you lived with it. It's like people who have dogs, they have no idea that their home smells of dogs. You just get used to these things...

She is, but shallow, stupid, high maintenance and by her own admission stalks and harasses guys thus ruining the relationship. Oh and is clingy and posts rants about all her men on Twitter & FB both of which are publicly open to all. As well as client's bank details. ........

Then again, that appears to be what the gentlemen of tha parisg find attractive these days......

Me too! I have one friend in particular. She moved to America and she's pure white trash now. She was with some guy for a month, got knocked up, married him, split with him, had all the drama over court and maintenance with him, and now she's getting married to his ex best friend and has just had a new baby with him. Her wedding's coming up and I expect it to be epic. The last one, she wore a normal dress and he wore a t-shirt and jeans, everyone was wearing denim in the wedding photos and it appeared to be a BBQ in a barn.”

coming to an episode of Jeremy Kyle near you...

then you reckon wrong....

Non-smokers entering a smokers house... everything smells, no exception. Anyone living there will be completely unaware of just how smelly it and they are.

I was truly shocked when I gave up smoking and came to the realization as to just how smelly everything I owned was and how rank my flat smelled.
Sorry but its the truth.

Ditto. I cannot stand it and since the bans in both Ireland & the UK I'm physucally repulsed by the smells of both cigs & ashtrays. My father also had a s bad an addiction to smokes as George Best did with booze, it caused a lot of misery in our house growing up and eventually led to his long, slow, agonising death so all things smoking just appall me.

Someone the other day posted up some "adult presents" she had got for valentines day. What was even stranger was that her children were commenting on them.

I'm no prude but that's just weird.

Another example of the annoying use of the word 'cheeky' - I saw someone's status earlier about going for 'a cheeky shop'. Ack!

I do laugh at the "Share your purchase on Facebook/Twitter" buttons that they have on those websites.

"Hey everybody, I bought 10 enormous buttplugs, a Rampant Rabbit, a Phillipa Hole doll and loadss dildos! LOLZ etc'"

A friend of mine today shared a photo of someone who'd lost basically all the skin and muscle of their foot with literally just the bones, and a whole load of blood, remaining. Then she put a faux-concerned warning to all her 'biker friends' (of which I'm sure she has none) to always wear protective clothing because as a nurse, she's seen far too many nasty accidents.

Why, why does anyone need to see that on their timeline? It's one of the most graphic images I've seen in recent years.

Seen the cancerous toenail one too. Yet another one of my Yummy Mummy Brigade (TM)'s favoured gory disgusting pics.

And the bad thing is that probably had nothing to do with a "biker" its probably some skin graft op or something like that and the biker thing is just a reason to pass it on

This had me fuming the other day. A friend is looking to take on 2 rescue cats as she recently lost her cat. She has been on about the poor older cats not getting new homes. So I assumed she would get a cat. Nope she is getting 2 kittens

She wrote this ...

I sent (name of cat rescue) a box of kitten food as they will need all the help they can get.
One year they sent out an email to say they were snowed under with kittens lol
sounds like heaven to me.

How the can anyone find that funny and think it great. FFS

Words fail me.

"So fu**ing p*ssed off right now! Absolutely fuming! How are we meant to live without getting paid!"

The backstory, this woman had her first baby recently. Shes got full maternity leave and when the baby was born her husband took two weeks "paternity" leave. Hes also booked two weeks off work for a holiday in a few months time.

Shes annoyed because hes also taken half a week off now and has other time off work planned later in the year. The only catch is the two weeks paternity leave which he thought he was entitled to, was actually paid holiday. So because he gets 4 weeks holiday a year, with the paternity leave and the booked holiday hes used up all this years holiday. So all the days off he has planned he either cant have or he wont get paid for.

Is it just me who thinks they were being a bit naive? Why would a man with a baby be entitled to two extra weeks paid holiday than the other workers who dont have children? I thought paternity leave was the same as maternity when its a single father or the mother goes straight back to work?

Shes ranting and raving how his boss has screwed them over and they cant afford to live without the money, not realising how many people can see her rants, probably including the boss!

My husband got 2 weeks paid paternity when our kids were born. I'm not sure if employers are legally obliged to give it but it's something most dads get.

While I don't think she should be ranting on FB about it, I think she's entitled to be peed off about it. I would be!

You get 2 weeks statutory paternity leave, although it may not be at full pay....

"The statutory weekly rate of Ordinary Paternity Pay and Additional Paternity Pay is £136.78, or 90% of your average weekly earnings (whichever is lower)."

according to https://www.gov.uk/paternity-pay-leave

Of course, some employers pay at the full rate - I know my husband's company did when we had our son.

In danger of turning this into an advice thread - he should have been entitled to 2 weeks paid paternity leave

https://www.gov.uk/paternity-pay-leave/overview

Send them this link it explains it, you get statutory paternity pay as a minimum but it definately is not taken as part of the annual leave entitlement.

Ahh I see, thanks.
My husbands employer paid at the full rate too. He took it 'staggered' to stretch it out. He had lots of long weekends!
