Not exactly a status, but its still on facebook.

Now to be clear, I was born lower class so I have no toff aspirations or notions. But still...

when I see a womens job is listed as "yummy mummy" I instantly think "single parent, each kid a different dad, shit parent, on child support, sits on arse all day". I hate thinking it because I hate people looking down on the same class I am, but, its, you know, kinda true a lot.

I was about to start a new thread, but decided it was effectively the same as this one, so posted here instead!

It was basically going to be about the random.. well.. IDIOTS you see on Facebook every day. Not those you know, but the people who comment the most ridiculously dumb things on videos, celebrity walls and what not.

For example, I just saw an amusing video. It said "must see! Real ghost spotted riding bike, caught on camera!" The video basically shows an empty street for a few moments, before a guy drives by with a sheet over his head. It's silly but made me smile. The comments however made me cringe to my very soul.

"So obviously fake" declares a sceptical Cameron
"Is this meant as a joke?" asks Jen
"What am I meant to be seeing?" queries Christine
"Errr why would a ghost need a helmet FAKE" points out Linsay (good point mind!)
"FAIL! NOT EVEN REALISTIC!" criticizes Tia

I'm sure if I kept going back I'd find more idiots like this who clearly miss the point. Does anyone else have any good stories in that area? There's nothing like laughing at dumb people on Facebook to make you feel superior!

Are they the ones that may have also donated, the ones that are maintaining the momentum of this craze which continues to raise millions for charity, or the ones who are merely doing it for attention and aren't donating? Presumably you've downloaded the YouTube plug-in which alerts you to people who haven't donated otherwise all you're doing is ignorantly assuming people aren't doing it for a good cause which would make you look a bit silly.

Loads of congrats comments and we find out hes got a job as a bin man.

Today "seems sum bitches out there dnt blieve he has a job! Nun of their business but heres proof neway." Accompanied by a photo of a bin van in the distance with a little flueroescent speck next to it. Assuming its her bf but its so far away it could be anyone!

Funny though that shes so outraged at people accusing her of lying about her bf being a bin man that she felt she needed to photo him to proove it.”

Why do people feel the need to post a photo of the a drip feeder in their arm when they spend a few hours in hospital. Who cares!! It's nothing new ffs

Attention seeking that is why

Same as those who tag themselves at a hospital with no explanation, Get loads of 'Hope you are ok' type posts then reveal they were just waiting for a family member finishing work or something

One of my FB friends is a cousin and she has just discovered, after changing her name to something utterly ridiculous that she thinks makes her sound feisty, that you can't change the name back for six months. Oops.

This little gem from a woman in her mid 30 just appeared on my timeline

"Can't to see Cheryl on TV tonight. Not looking forward to seeing the talentless wannabes though."

Oh the comments that could be made about Cheryl Cole or whatever she is now and talent. The woman who posted it has a really unhealthy obsession with her, like she believes they are BFFs. I think dear Cheryl might need a restraining order lol

They're actually hilarious! Good call! I just think of the facepalm meme when I see comments like those, and Failblog and Lamebook are good places to find little gems. At the moment, The Onion articles are being shared more often, and the comments under those are fabulous (like the "Spielberg pictured with dead dinosaur" pic, when some numpties thought he'd really killed one and called for him to be prosecuted/eviscerated/poked with a sharp stick/etc. I'm generally known as Mrs Gullible round our way, but those take the biscuit!)

The ice bucket challenge videos are driving me nuts. Never mind, they'll be pushed off the newsfeeds this coming week with photos of everyone's uniformed kids on their first back at school. Oops, actually I am guilty of that one!

I hate the low level bullying - posts saying "I accepted the challenge so make sure you do as well" and comments calling people cowards when they choose to donate instead - in a lot of cases those people are donating more which I believe was the original intention as the donation was a "fine" for not doing the challenge.

I donated to a local charity by text instead of doing the challenge. When I did a text donation to Save The Children last year I got a phone call from a pushy woman wanting me to set up a direct debit so I will no longer donate to the big charities by text.

Today a new low was reached as someone decided that in order to promote the benefits of eating placenta it would be a nice idea to post a photo of placenta sorry I do not need to see that whatever the benefits are!

Same thing happened to me, I should have learned from the time i set up a £3 a month direct debit and they called me asking for more while being very pushy. So i cancelled there and then. But i made the mistake of texting a donation to a charity recently and they tried the same thing on me

Hmmm....I did post a status last week to tell everyone that I'd been knocked off my bike by a car and have broken my leg. I swear I didn't take any pics of me in hospital, though! (Although I did later post a pic of a huge bruise on my leg haha!!)

I wasn't fishing for sympathy, though. Just felt like a more convenient way of telling everyone what had happened without having to make dozens of phone calls.

Ice Bucket Challenge has been replaced by what seems like 100s of photos of lilmen and lil angles (sic) ready for school while the "full time mummy's" ponder on the concept of the space time continuum in relation to their children ageing as each year passes .
