asking when other people lost someone close to them, I think they were talking about parents - and Carol says that she lost someone close at 43,, and then Vicky asks Louie how old he was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and he says 8 months ago...and walks off with his head in his hands upset - and Vicky just said oh dear, holding her cigarette in one position, and pulled a face as if to say "oops" --...she's just so horrible and brought the mood right down - and she already had an issue with Louie for nominating her, so it comes across a lot more insensitive than it was probably meant, but even so,, Vicky is not nice

I think your reading far too much into her intention and response

I doubt that was Vicky's intention. She wouldn't be THAT heartless.

She wasn't being nasty... It was just a question...
Not meant to hurt anyone... She didn't know...
How would she know....

no I don't think she 'meant' to hurt his feelings, as how was she to know that he'd only lost someone close 8 months ago- but it was her reaction after he'd walked off with his head in his hands, clearly upset and the delay before she went to console him, (if she did at all!)- I hope she went off and apologised, even if it was not her intention to hurt him.
But aside from that, I find her conversations very depressing and she always seems sour over something, it's just her tone and her facial expressions.

That's an interesting interpretation of events Sandy. I get the impression that any conversation about the loss of a mother would have upset Louie, considering her death was quite recent. Vicky didn't realise how recent his loss was, & did look sorry that she had upset him - that's why she went in after him to apologise.

Perhaps she needs to adopt the timmy mallet approach to life.... People are as they are. Why can't we accept difference ?

Completely agree.

(Weird agreeing with you after regular BB, Sandy. )

I think it was just a mistake on her part, she went to apologise to him. I am sure we have all put our foot in it before. I don't think she meant to be horrible.

she may well have apologised, which we can as yet only assume ---It was her reaction immediately afterwards to Louie walking off upset. It was rather cold.

Louis is just looking for some airtime, he is battling with too many big characters and needs to create drama moments to get attention.

but the other night during LF she was horrible to Sophie - she was sitting on the bench smoking and Sophie was next to her, she didn't make eye contact with her at all, and just kept making digs at her, it was horrible, and Sophie for some reason, didn't walk off ,, she just took it, it was really odd to watch and I saw that on last nights LF she apologised to Sophie for her behaviour, so perhaps that's just the way she is.

Really?

Eight months is very recent to have lost his mother ..........I guess emotions/tensions are very heightened in the BB house - she threw him a bit of a curve ball there but I don't think it was meant to be intentionally hurtful.

She was holding her cigarette is one position? What a heartless cow!!!!
I mean FFS, how the heck was she supposed to know? She started a meaningful conversation about something (other than booze and shitting or pissing oneself) and that's horrible?

It was documented in the press.

No, she definitely doesn't. That would make her the most annoying human being alive (after Timmy Mallet)

I read almost all elements of the press and I hadn't a clue..... Louie Spence's mother dying is hardly going to be a massive news story.

Seriously?! My mother died years ago, but I still find it difficult to talk about her without getting emotional and teary. Or am I just an attention seeker? Jeez.

quite right, my husband dies 9 years ago, but I still cry from missing him often, but it wasn't Vicky's fault, and she did feel bad, she asked the others, should I go see how he is, I didn't mean to upset him, the others told her no, just let him be by himself.

I haven't seen this yet but I would say that I suspect Louis is creating drama again and playing for the sympathy vote.

No youre not. Its a personal thing. Im the same over my Mum who I nursed at home and my brothers, two of whom have passed away in the last twelve months. If youre close, youre close. Everyones different. Normally I don't mind Louie Spence so much, but in this Ive seen a harder, direct side to him which isn't very nice. However I wouldnt judge him harshly for being upset after his loss.

Many things are documented in the Press...it doesn't mean we sit down every day and read every paper from cover to cover!!! Not everyone is glued to the TV or internet news/gossip sites. Why on earth would someone know every detail of others lives?

so,

you haven't seen it yet and you are ready to cast judgement?

My father died a few months back and it still brings tears to my eyes when someone mentions him.

I do not want sympathy it is a natural reaction.

because Sophie was pissed and being annoying, asking probing questions, as far as I'm concerned she did better then I would have, Sophie would have been told where to go if it was me.
