Trouble is something like that is awkward, you don't always know what to say or do even when you know somebody well and even when they have told you rather than answered a question. I suppose it's an awkward question though if you are not close to people. But the house probably makes you feel close to them even if really you are not.

Yep very true. It was an unfortunate choice of conversation in the first place, but I'm sure nobody would be that cruel to want to see someone sad and hurt. I don't like Vicky much but I'm sure she felt bad afterwards.

You think she needs a big yellow foam hammer to hit people over the head with if they answer a question incorrectly?

He may be an over the top caricature much of the time but he is still a person with feelings outside of all that.

If he was looking for airtime he would hardly go off privately to cry, not look for anyone to console him and tell Vicky it wasn't her fault.
He would do something he thought would make the highlights
I'm as cynical as the next person but I believe the man was genuinely upset by thinking abut the loss of his mother

I remember on Pineapple Studio how close Louis Spence was to his mother; one scene showed them having Botox together even! Eight months is a very short time and he is still very much in the grieving process.

No you're not. I lost my mum a long time ago too but I still miss her every day. I hope it's normal.

I've lost both my parents, and I miss them terribly. So yes, I would say it's normal.

Louie certainly doesn't mind hurting anyone elses feelings.

Agreed!

I lost my mum 6 years ago this weekend, it was a difficult weekend for me. Let alone when it was only 8 months ago....

I remember a scene from Pineapple Studios where his wee mum and aunty came to visit him and they were away having botox and just general carry on, his mum seemed a lovely wee woman just a normal housewife type and laughing away at Louis's antics, such a shame I never realised it was his mum

I agree, but there's a vast gap from understanding Louie's reaction to calling Vicky Entwistle 'horrible' for initiating the conversation that led to that reaction.

Within the context of the show

Several of the housemates approached him saying they knew they weren't his favourite person but didn't like to see him upset

There is a big difference between histrionics and genuine emotion / grief

I think a few people will adopt that attitude towards rude and over familiar Sophie before very long. Its always turned around to be about herself, no matter who she talks to.

I remember that scene, the ladies turned up in sunglasses and he called them the Blues Brothers/Sisters. Bless him I didn't realise he had lost his mum.
I don't like that Vicky taking the pee out of him, hope she's out first.

I don't buy them now either and I didn't know about his Mum. His Mum and Dad were very down to earth considering Louie is very showbiz.
