I was looking for this also as our local Aldi no longer stock it, tried the tesco brand (around £1.25 if i recall)and doesn't taste any different so will probably keep buying it.
That sounds good I'll try Tesco's

I'm starting to really get fed up with Aldi .Their Craze cereal was just as good as Kellogs Krave and less than a quid per box but they'e now topped selling the hazlenut option (my favourite) which was clearly more popular than the chocolate version. I've tried all the stores in my town and there's only chocolate Craze on the shelves. I'm hoping that they're just trying to get the stocks of chocolate down a bit then will bring out the hazelnut one again Doubt it tho

I tried Aldi's fairly new "Beer battered cod" but it was much more greasy than the normal chilled fish in breadcrumbs or the frozen battered fish, so I won't be buying it again.

I also tried a bottle of Jim Beam whiskey that was on special offer in Morrisons, and have to say I prefer Aldi's own brand, "Clarke's 1866"

I'm keeping my eye out for the Aldi version of Ferrero Rocher now that the Christmas food in coming in, they are delicious, I ate far too many of them last year and I plan to do the same this year

It's weird, on the one hand it's annoying they only sell them at Christmas but on the other hand actual Ferrero Rochers are available year round but I only buy them at Christmas.

Anybody tried the Aldi version of Tia Maria? Saw it last year only after I'd forked out £16.99 for the real stuff. I'm wondering if it's any good

I am in Spain now and getting Aldi Nord goods - not a patch on Aldi Sud - no Christmas cake only the awful dry Stollen, none of the great wooden Advent Calendars with drawers and lots of jars of pickled cabbage. So stop complaining

My wife loves their individual lemon cheesecakes.

I'm not a big lemon dessert or cheesecake fan so can't comment really.

I love their Ferrero Rocher, they are now in stock at my store. Pack size reduced from 16 to 12 but still £1.99. Cheaper than the real FR and in my opinion a lot nicer 👍🏼

Bad - chocolate-coated stollen bites. At £1.99 for a small pack they're presented as the kind of little gift or stocking filler you'd buy to give out at Christmas. Believe me, they are horrible to the point of being disgusting. Like snippets of sweaty socks, rolled in dry beadcrumbs and dipped in some kind of chocolate substitute. Revolting – avoid.

I bought the Original Source version and now I'm inclined to think it could be made by the same supplier which supplies Aldi. The bottle has suddenly changed shape (identical to Aldi's) and the smell is similar to how the Aldi version was when I first noticed it had been altered. It's not as noxious as the Aldi version has now become, but I suspect it has been altered out of all recognition (which is probably why they're trying to clear their stocks by putting it on offer). Such a shame, as the original was like aromatherapy. I still have half a bottle of the original left, which I will have to keep sniffing sparingly.
Supplier? Original Source is a Cussons brand, says so on the packet. So it'll just be made by them in Manchester.

Has anyone tried their lebkuchen? I've had it before from a store in Canada that sells German food but not from Aldi.

Yes, but Aldi's is labelled as AquaV Kick Start, even though it is obviously the same stuff. Obvious, because they both deteriorated from having a highly superior fresh fruit aroma to something with exactly the same revolting, decidedly non-natural, offensive chemical smell.

Does anyone know if Aldi will be getting the Mozartkugeln in for Christmas this year? Was in a branch a few days ago and they didn't seem to be stocking any.

I bought my dad a conventional stollen from Aldi to replace the awful stollen bites that he didn't like. It's just about edible, but not a patch on the fruit tea loaf they sell. I'm starting to get the feeling that any fond memories of the horrible stuff are left over from the 1970s, when if it was ever seen in this country it was considered exotic – you can imagine Hyacinth Bucket making a big show of serving it instead of 'ordinary cake'.

Bad - Aldi's Four Seasons bags of mixed vegetables. Should be re-labelled as carrots.

I love their mini chedders

I'm pretty hooked on the lentil crisps at the moment, the sour cream and chive ones are so moreish.
