Forgive me if I'm not using the correct technological etiquette but this is my first time in this part of the forum.

Basically I had The Sims 3 installed on my laptop but my laptop has been experiencing some issues and had to be taken away to be fixed. It's now back but The Sims 3 is nowhere to be found. I purchased it online directly without using a physical disk so it's not a case of reinstalling it with a disk.

My question is, is there any way I can reinstall The Sims 3 seeing as I have already paid for it? I don't really want to have to pay for it again. Just a bit confused. Thanks.

You shouldn't have to repurchase at all. Just go to where you originally bought it and download it again... in some cases they will have emailed you registration details and/or activation details so it might be worth checking that out.

If you bought it on Steam then it's just a case of downloading the Steam app, logging in, accessing your library of games and re-downloading. Origin and GOG may be similar but I dunno where you bought it from so I'm just throwing some examples around.

ETA: your saved games will definitely be lost, though. Unless you backed them up or the game saves stuff to a cloud based backup service (some games do...)

Thanks for that. Yeah, I download it via Origin but it's no longer in "My Games" which is baffling in itself because it was there before. I've tried to go to where I originally bought it but it's telling me to sign into the Origin account and, again, it's not there. It's literally just telling me to enter my credit card details again and I'm apprehensive to do so.
