What do people think are the best channels on the (Ruko) Now TV?

Is there a way of adding channels that are not listed? Like channels that are available on the Roku version of the device?

If it acts like a normal Roku, each channel has a 'code' that can be entered to show it on the box. I can't remember how to do it but a quick google search should show you.

As for good channels, TWiT, Revision 3 and NowhereTV are the ones I use the most outside of the 'big' channels like Netflix, BBC iPlayer and Now.

Added Twit & CNET last night, suspect we are seeing a cut down version of channel store due to Sky restrictions (but hey it only cost £10) - is there a way to access more channels? I have a vague notion that i saw a post about putting the box into "developer mode" somewhere.

If you have local media which you want to watch on your Now TV box, install the MediaBrowser3 Roku channel.

If you like American channels, you can install USTVNow. You get a month free to test, but after that you have to pay. It gives you live US channels including the big three (ABC, CBS, NBC) as well as FOX, PBS and the CW. Video quality is very good.

There is no geo-blocking outside of the US (you have to be outside) but they do presume that you are an American citizen.
