Hey,

Gamespot are doing a poll to find the greatest game series of the decade http://uk.gamespot.com/greatest-game-series/

My top 5 would be

1. Mass Effect
2. Elder Scrolls
3. Fallout
4. Portal
5. Uncharted

What would your choice be?

Well, my favorite games are Metal Gear Solid 2 and Silent Hill 2.

Although I think both franchises lost it by the 4th installment!

Honestly, the last 10 years hasn't been that good at all as far as birthing a great franchise.

If we call Super Mario Galaxy a new franchise - then that's the only thing that will stand the test of time from the period.

I would agree with that, I have been playing the HD versions of MGS on the Vita (thank you PS+) and they are superb games.

I disagree, I think we have seen great game series' in the last 10 years, games like Mass Effect and Portal really stand out for me.

I would have went for GTA too but my favorite which is Vice City was over 10 years ago so i'm unsure if that would count

I did like the first few Assassins Creed but gave up with Revolution as I wasn't enjoying it as much as brotherhood.

Considering the third is now on PS+ I will give it a go, may as well

Such a pity thats its close to a decade since the last Half Life game (Although I would rather a Portal 3 personally).

It's really difficult, Assassins Creed has to be one started out really great even enjoyed Revelations more than others.

Blacklist is brill I'm playing this now but others are poor so we can't have Splinter Cell sadly, it's a shame how many series have been ruined Resident Evil another totally wrecked.

Going to go with

Far Cry
BioShock
Animal Crossing
Assassins Creed
GTA
Portal

Finally finished Portal 2 last night, idk. The HL crowd may be more accepting of a Portal 3 than L4D3 given they happen in the same universe and
Spoiler
(supposedly), but it would be interesting to see where they go with Portal 3. But not as interesting as HL3 for me

I think so!

Super Mario Galaxy is the best franchise in the last 10 years. Thankfully, the reviews back it up!

Odd time to be having such a poll, the last decade was 3 1/2 years ago, and we're not yet halfway through this one.

By the last decade they mean in the last 10 years so 2003 to 2013, sorry I thought that was evident.

I disagree, it's a good time to do it as that's us finishing this generation with the next gen out for Christmas.
