I never quite understood the point of Robin. Does he actually have any special powers? And why is he called the Boy Wonder?

No. But neither does Batman.

And why is he called the Boy Wonder?
I suppose because he's a boy and he shows wisdom and power beyond his years.

Why would you post this after the vote last night, which suggests the opposite?

Why do I get the impression that this wasn't originally in the comics forum...?

The reason for Robin is simple, he's the bait.

I think it would have been more apt to say Balkrick to America's Black Adder. An obsequious toady that occasionally has an idea for themselves but ends up licking America's boots in the end.

Not really.... after all, unfortunately, the US has to indulge Inexperienced Novice Barack Hussein Obama as President, served by a colloquial Mrs Angry, and neither could be remotely categorised as Batman.

However, the democrats could have opted for a better selection mechanism for Democratic Candidate than the "Anyone But Clinton" candidate.

Of course it might be Britains' Robin(Nicholas Lyndhurst) to Americas' Batman (David Jason).

Father and son.

RIP Robin BTW as he recently died in the comics.

I would call Britain Ant-Man to America's Galactus given the relative size of our comics markets.

Perhaps to prevent this in future the job should only be offered to those people who have done it before.

The responsibility lies with US electorate for enacting an "Anyone but Republicans" selection mechanism at the ballot box as is their democratic right. Not that anyone could blame them considering how well the previous incumbent was received by the rest of the world.

Like a young William Hague?
