Anyone actually like them?

I LOVED their first album. Still think it's the best ever. Second also quite good. Shocked to see they have a new one last year, cover versions. Got quite good reviews, but didn't sell very well...

Anyone listened to it?
Anyone can admit they like them?

They the ones that did 'Hold On'?

I loved that particular song, but have never heard anything else by them - I always assumed they were a one-hit wonder!

That song's back in my head now, though... "Someday somebody's gonna make you wanna turn around and say goodbye..."

Yep!
They actually had three #1's in the US, and were the first act in the 90es to do that.

Their second single, Rea\lease Me, went to #1, whil their third "Impulsive" "only" went to #4 (I think).
Then in 1991, "You're In Love" also went to #1.

Their fifth single, which was -really_ good, The Dream Is Still Alive, reachjed #12.

High expectations for their second album, called Shadows and Light "You Won't See Me Cry" went to #20, while Give It Up reached #30. I think they also released a third single, Flesh and Blood, which failed to chart.

All this taken from memory, so maybe incorrect.

They had some arguments, Chynna released a solo album (I thunk), The Wilsons released a Christmas Album, and maybe also a "normal" album.

But their three voices together are actually amazing. As a trio, their voices are so well suited to each other. I really, really love them. Guess you undertsand that...

The album "California" was released last year and is superb. I purchased it while I was in Boston and the girls (women now !!) were on various TV shows to promote it - they did a live set in Bryant Park in New York (the day after I moved from NY to Boston !!).

Harmonies are as close as ever - and you have the added bonus of Brian Wilson joining in vocals on "In My Room".

Worth trying to get a hold of - try Play.com or CDwow.com

When I was in the doctors waiting room on Friday I read an article about them getting back together in some magazine. Apparently the girl with the red hair had a weight problem and got her stomach stapled, then a lot of other personal stuff was going on in her life and they stopped recording. Then for some reason all 3 of them decided to go back into the studio and begin recodring again.

Thanks!
I really have to try to find it. They DID get some good reviews, and it is great to see.
Hopefully they can make a new album soon, new material. As long as they can come to an agreement...

Yes, I think the "big" girl (Carnie?) had a bit of the weight problem, and wrote a book about it, which was quite interesting. They always tried to "hide" her body on pictures etc, since the other two were really thin.
She has been on quite a lot of talk shows. Know some people think she is just "too much" but it is interesting to see since the music and film inudtry always focused in the and beautiful people. So in a way it's a bit sad she had to actually reduce her weight like she did, but I think she said she did it because she wanted to, not because she had to. Hm.
