My Samsung Galaxy Note 2 LTE running on Three's DC-HSPA+ network. (Yes, my phone can differentiate between 3G, H, H+ and DC)

haha, yes . The local mast is a bit crap for 3G coverage here on EE & Three even though I can see it through my window, its usable and the speeds are decent though so I'm happy Will be better whenever MBNL decide to sort it out.

MBNL are the only provider of 3G around this area (Brecon Beacon's National Park) ... I don't think that's a surprise to anyone though is it?

I get 3-4 bars and a 12-14mbps speed and not many people live as remote as me, so I dont think its typical or even predictable!

I max out at 27mbps here, its quite often too, normally early in the morning or late at night

I get around that speed during good hours of the day where I live, for a rural (ish) area I think its very decent

Why does it matter or not if the phone differentiates between those types of internet speeds? its either ok speeds, fast, even faster or bloody damn quick

I often horse ride in the Brecons, have experienced that speed on the stables I stay at - its faster than their landline speeds!
