TV Gift Gone
I suspect this will annoy a few people. TalkTalk have removed the TV Gift service with little (or no) notice.
All the programmes that were available had expiry dates for the end of August, now we know why.

ABC On Demand is now part of the Entertainment Extra Boost. Scamp is now part of the Kids Boost. Sony Retro and Sony have both been removed.

If you signed up at the same time as me, you will also have received the Entertaunment boost on a 3-month free trial. Unfortunately, what they don't tell you is that you have to cancel it manually in My Account to stop the charges when the trial ends.
I noticed the extra charge on my bill before the trial ended, so cancelled it, then phoned TalkTalk, to be told by an operator that I needn't worry, because this would be removed from my bill before the payment was due. Was it hell. Now they won't respond to my many queries, even after sending me incident numbers. Edit: I've just noticed that I've finally had a reply. Unfortunately, after negotiating a maze of push-button options that lasted several minutes, I was told that they were currently receiving a large number of calls and put on hold - at 11:45pm! |

Not a good sign that the companies have been pulling out.
