For a while now I've not been able to re wind live TV on a Humax 9300T. When I try to re wind it goes back to the last programme I have been watching. Any idea if I can do something to fix this? Thanks.

Is there a setting in the menu for how large the rewind buffer is?, you might have it set to zero - so no rewind at all.

There is no such setting. The problem will be that the rewind buffer has become corrupt. It can be fixed non destructively by connecting the drive to a PC and using humaxrw or by formatting the disk.

I have the same problem with my 9300T. I guess formatting the drive loses all the programmes?
You mention that it can be resolved non destructively by connecting to a PC, does this mean that the recorded programmes remain?
Has the Humax got a IDE hard drive connection?

Thanks

Correct.

Correct. You use humaxrw with the -D option (which deletes the corrupt timeshift buffers). New buffers will be automatically created when the drive is reconnected to the Humax and powered up.

The 9300 (and 9150) have SATA drives. The 9200 has an IDE drive.
