Darcey mentioned on the One Show that he had dance classes/experience prior to him becoming a clothes designer. This tells me;
1. He is very likely to have an aptitude for it.
2. He will feel far more comfortable with the training aspects.

Also in his favour;
1. He is not too old - early 40's.
2. He looks relatively fit.
3. He should be in his element with regard to what he is asked to wear.
