Maybe it's because Carla comes across as a self centred, conceited and arrogant cow, with zero compassion for her victims.
The way she stared without blinking at Tina across the bar tonight was outrageous. She was looking at her as though she wanted to scratch her eyes out, and the affair hasn't even started yet.
Or maybe it's because Tina is a pretty young thing, and she's no spring chicken herself anymore. Poor old thing.

So hilarious to hear the comment that Carla is the love of Peter Barlow's life when Leanne was the love of his life before that and now he is embarking on an affair with Tina

There were times when the character has seemed likable, not many but there were a few now and then.

Peter Barlow had his chance to become a decent, normal family guy once upon a time and he blew it.
He never had it in him anyway, he's too damaged.
I'd prefer Steve over him anyday.
Steve has the humour, the humility, and kindness to be the man of house, the big lovable bear who everyone adores.

Peter has missed the boat, he could have had it all but now it's too late. I don't think the character will ever return to being liked all that much again. Well by older, wiser viewers anyway.
