Lauren's Mum and Dad are SEX THERAPISTS !!!
Lauren said both her parents are Sex Therapists - with her mum having 3 different names.
oh yes,-- I remember they bought their qualifications online. And Lauren is looking for magazine deals after the show to help the family - nothing wrong with that, but her parents have been outed as having fake bought qualifications purporting to be something they are not, so she should talk less about them I think, or it could be detrimental to her with that documentary knocking about !!! Mario described Lauren as a modern day Peter Pan, as Lauren said "they're are too many grown ups in the world" ![]()

Laurens mother used one of her names to say she was Laurens councillor when Lauren needs her sex change.

I don't actually know what your point is? Everyone here has had the link for the documentary paraded before them, if they didn't watch it before. This is old news. How is it detrimental? Who cares about that specific area of her parents' lives?
We all know her parents are wildly deluded and make ludicrous claims. Nobody should have any faith in them whatsoever. I mean, they might actually be good at something, whatever it might be, but I don't think anybody would believe them because so much of what they say is complete cobblers. It's not a question of Lauren should do this, or that. You've seen the documentary. Her parents have managed, on one level, to institutionalise her, within her own family. Now maybe that is for Lauren's own good, to give her some sort of security, but it's also something most people would regard as psychologically damaging. Lauren caring for them, or wanting to help them, is only to be expected. They're all she has. They're all she has known. |

I thought the comment "and they've got certificates to prove it" was quite telling.

You still have to be qualified to be able to give advice that couples will use... Lauren's parents are charlatans

Judi James is a body language expert, too. Lauren's parents might have a job waiting for them.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Lauren's decision to have a sex-change as an adult wasn't entirely her own and that the seeds were planted in her head from a very young age by her parents. I don't know why, but I can imagine them (especially Mommie Dearest) frequently saying to the young James (as was) "Oh darling, your Daddy and I were sooooo disappointed that you wasn't born a little girl. We really longed for a daughter after your two brothers were born, but *sigh* we got you instead."
Many years ago, I had a good friend who was transgender (male to female) and it's my understanding from speaking with her that most know from an early age that they feel 'trapped' in the wrong body and desperately need to put it 'right' in order to truly be themselves. I really hope to G-d this was the case with Lauren and that my hunch in the previous paragraph is completely wrong.

Is there a reason sex therapists needed to be in capital letters?
You should write for a tabloid

I hope to God you're wrong ... but after watching that documentary ( little lady Fauntleroy ) I have an uneasy feeling too
I was expecting to get verbally jumped on for daring to suggest such a thing, especially after learning that it was Lauren's own mother who supposedly 'counselled' her prior to her gender reassignment. I'm glad I'm apparently not the only one who is wondering just how much influence Lauren's mother really had on her making such a life-changing decision, so thanks for your comment, hds. I guess we can only hope our suspicions are, in fact, unfounded.

Lauren does not kind of look like the rest of the family perhaps the dad a bit with fair hair but the rest have the dark hair including the mother. Its like mothers dated fashion versus Laurens own style. Lauren has spoken about wearing her mother BIBA clothing sometimes her clothing is a bit dated and then she wears modern stuff and as she is 30 odd I would think she was trying to establish her own style its like she is trying to emulate people eg Courtney and then going into the cage after the lady had danced in it. . |

Later, Harries decided to transition from male to female, change his name to Lauren Charlotte, and investigate sex reassignment surgery, which was carried out in 2001.[3] Funding for this was generated from publicity arranged by Max Clifford.[2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauren_Harries |
