Walford High
EastEnders should bring Walford High into the show.
A Headmaster or Headmistress should live on the Square maybe as part of a new Family. |

See, it would have made sense if Ava was the Head there because at least she would be closer to the action. I think we have only seen her once at work.
On a side note, the headmaster Mr Allcock was seen a few times in 2010 He was in this scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdJY_6EqYrQ |

You want less teens, your solution is to bring a high school in.
Great. |

A New Professional Couple living on the Square could provide this - kill two birds with a Headmaster/mistress and a Doctor.
I don't know why EE bosses are not thinking about this to be honest. |

If they lived on the Square, what possible benefits would a headmistress/master have storyline-wise? The only possible storyline I can think of is a teacher having an affair with a pupil - and they also happen to be neighbours in the Square - but I'd imagine most of these scenes would have to take place in the school setting for it to really power the story through. But considering the show is not based around a school and the dramas that go on there I don't think it would work.
Even the doctors that been on the show in recent years - like May or Yusef weren't primarily known for their jobs. Their storylines focused on their personal lives because that's where the interest lies. Viewers don't really care to just see them giving out prescriptions as the doctors' office setting limits them. Remember when Bradley Branning was introduced to the show? They made a point of showing us that he had a ''big job in the city''. We never saw him there. We knew nothing about his working life - the only purpose that served was to illustrate that Bradley was supposed to be intelligent and ambitious because he had a job elsewhere. But again, this probably limited the character because he couldn't interect with others in the show - which is why he lost that job and went on to... work on the Square! Alice was another example of this just last year. Her job outside the Square was eventually phased out. That's why all these soaps have characters and have jobs within 30 seconds of their front door!

I remember you saw it briefly when Zsa Zsa was in the show,
She made it seem like a episode of St Trinians |

Well Brian in Corrie somehow went from being a head of english in a high school to a primary school headmaster so I don't see we they couldn't do the same with Ava only vice versa

Nice to see you remember me! Someone does think everyone is against them don't they? What I posted is hardly critical is it? Why if you think there are too many teens would you then advocate the introduction of a High School which would then see that demographic on the show sky rocket? It makes zero sense. Oh, and if I was going to be critical of you I'd have commented about how you're still making repetitive threads about the same subject matter, still making threads about deadwood, threads about which males you find attractive and lust after and how for some egotistical reason you still seem to think you speak for every Eastenders viewer. But I didn't did I ![]() See you in a few months and I bet things will still be the same! PS You ought to be thanking me as I'm saving you a job of bumping your thread! |

I think it would only work if there was a group of half a dozen students to justify it's existence. There's already a teacher living on the square as well as a nursery assistant.

Bringing in the High School would be overkill, besides I don't think it works having characters based offsite.

Not for the main show, no.
But I wouldn't be against a Grange Hill style show being sprung for the main show into a spin off for kids? It would be a bit like Sarah Jane Adventures in the fact that it still appeals to adults because of the nature of it's source material. |
