1. Lauren should have flushed.
2. Carol could have asked her in a much less humiliating way.

I can't believe some of these posts.

Lauren needed to be told for goodness sake.

Totally, gave her a chance to make a snide remark about Carol, she nearly forgot herself by looking at the camera, when she was saying it.

This.

It's small incidents like this taking place again and again - which people can brush off on a singular basis - which actually amount to a bullying campaign.

Carol's a nasty witch.

I agree she could have been more subtle, but you do get the impression over these last 2 weeks that Lauren's needing to be spoonfed a lot with regard to almost everything, and I imagine it gets rather wearing.

Lauren is not a delicate porcelain doll. She needed telling. Lauren is a lot tougher than some think.

Flush the bloody loo in future.

Yes she did need telling...but there are ways of saying things and the way she did it wasn't kind

Good God. Lauren's a grown woman and should not need reminding to do something so basic in a shared house. And as others have pointed out, I'm sure it was not the first time Lauren had to be reminded of personal hygiene matters.

And I really do have to laugh at those who do nothing but criticise Lauren on other threads pretending to be all concerned for her on this one, just in order to have a go at Carol.

I'm actually on Carol's side for once, there's no reason AT ALL Lauren couldn't just flush the toilet.

Carol is obviously fed up with it now. Didn't she have to pick someone's poo off the floor and flush it away earlier on this week.

Sorry Lauren deserved to be embarrassed, does her mother do that for her too. Lauren has no basic manners, she had none when she was a child either.

She's actually like a sort of horror film version of a porcelain doll.

Carol is not easily shocked, thus Lauren must have left a hellish mess in the pan.

Anyone who thinks Carol is being unreasonable has obviously never shared a house.

And those who have children do you flush for them without telling them they should flush their own waste?

If there is a more fitting person to discover a turd than Carol I've yet to meet them.

Sorry I didn't think asking someone if they'd been to the toilet and then asking them to flush is unkind.

There are a lot of very sensitive souls on here!

Seriously what is so bad about this?

I would go loopy.

Having seen the mess she (Lauren) makes around the house, I dread to think what she left in the toilet. ()
