Of course, it was totally her singing performance on ITT that led to her contract not being renewed. Totally.
I knew it, it was really unfair she had a cold that week, people are so mean sometimes, even Kylie misses a few notes when she is not well.

Would love to see her back, but if she's already got something better lined up then I'm happy for her.
I'm sure that most viewers at home would love to have Iveta back on Strictly Come Dancing miranda, her effervescent personality was infectious and it was great to have a double world champion on the show.

I have a friend in the States who has been judging all the top prestigious USA events this year and Ivetta has been judging with him for every single one - together with her studio in Manhattan I doubt she would have the time to be on SCD
That's interesting. She also was in the last production of "Sway" which was in Miami for a week in early December (link below). They do periodic engagements of that stage show, featuring the Chmerkovskiy brothers and Peta Murgatroyd (Maks' fiancee).

I was a bit surprised because both Maks and Iveta have studios in NYC and I guess I just assumed they'd be rivals and unlikely to work together. Glad that doesn't appear to be true and that they're friends.

This latest Sway appearance didn't include Artem, which it has in the recent past, and I remember reading on a forum that someone wondered if bad blood didn't ensue after Val's partner didn't work out last season - and DWTS gave Val Artem's partner, and that's why Artem wasn't on the show except as a backing or extra pro-number dancer (he didn't want to be in the "troupe" again, at least so I've read).

Oh well, sorry to meander off the Iveta subject. She was delightful on ITT! I'd love for her to be back. It's going to be very interesting to see the pro lineup once it's announced in April or June or whenever...

I only remember Iveta from 1 dance with Johnny Ball (after Aliona injured herself while trying to prop him up & dance at the same time ) and then about half a series with Mark Benton the next series?
She did a good job with Mark though so yeah I would be happy enough to see her back, Anya or Katya as well!! Could never understand why Katya was dropped as she took Gavin Henson, who was a hopeless dancer all the way to the semi finals!! Strange??

Yes definitely, my favourite female pro ever, but she may have other plans.

Lets hope that Iveta is planning a Strictly 2016, she must know that the Strictly viewers at home would love to have her back on the show.

Thanks, Terry I haven't followed the pro announcements very carefully in the past - but two announcements ago (2014), I think it happened on June 1 (Tristan/Joanne) - and I think it was also June in 2013 (Emma Slater/Aljaz/Janette) - but then in 2015, they were announced in April (Gleb Gio Oti). [In 2013, in August, Emma was switched to Anya and Kevin Clifton was added. And in 2014, Trent was added after the initial announcement because of Robin pulling out.]

I don't have any evidence to back up my belief - but I think that very few of the Strictly pros leave because they want to - I think they're almost always pushed out (or just dropped without so much as a by-your-leave). I also think that's true for DWTS. I do hope I'm wrong though because it usually makes me sad when a pro leaves the show.

No. She was nothing special and the show needs more taller dancers. Meet rid of the lacklustre Janette.

I thought Iveta was tall - maybe 5'7"? Gleb's wife is tall too

Neil Jones' wife is not (nor is he.) I'm wondering what SCD will look like with Kevin and Neil onboard, assuming that's what happens. Somehow they seem quite similar to me, in height, looks (or lack thereof), cheeky personality (esp Neil)... Anyhow, eventually Anton will go (I guess ) and they could use the wit to counterbalance the English-language-challenged hunks.

They will probably bring Joanne Clifton back to replace Aliona or Ola.

Personally, I'd love to see Erin back, but I doubt it'll happen

Aliona and Ola were the only female pros in this series who had ever won before. Aliona of course leaves with 2 wins.

Both have their critics as well as many many fans, and they will both be hard to replace IMO. I expect we will see a couple of brand new female pros to the show next year.

Is there a campaign?

I'm not bothered either way. If there was anyone I'd want back it would be Flavia.

Iveta is a double word champion, that's very special, viewers would love to see her back on Strictly Come Dancing she brings some real class to the show.

seeing as Joanne is still part of the show I dont see how they can "bring her back"

why do most posters on here assume Jo isnt part of the show atm - she is - just because she was unfortunate and didnt get partnered with a celeb she was still part of the pro dances and the just finished Live Tour

and back on topic

what campaign

no, I dont want to see Iveta back, I would rather see Anya back

On the female side SCD has big holes to fill Ola and Kristina filled a lot of column inches (not always for the right reasons) but that was why they were retained I think. Also Aliona leaving also means that there are no past female winners on the pro roster. You can't knock her success, three finals and two winners. She probably produced I think the best ballroom number for a male celeb in Harry Judd's quickstep and an iconic male jive with Jay (Scott Maslen was better). I am sure the search is on and hopefully they can get good replacements.

Aliona is irreplaceable. They should have one less female pro from next series in her honour

I don't think that Iveta is as tall as that Elsa probably only around 5' 3" or 5' 4".

There is no way that the BBC will let Anton go he gives the ratings a massive super charge each year.

Only one day to go now Elsa and we will all know if 'The Bring Back Iveta to Strictly Campaign' has been a success or not for 2016, fingers crossed lets hope so.

As someone who was there for the launch show, I can exclusively reveal that Iveta is now head judge. She's also presenting. And doing the music, too.
